  1. I blame Disney movies lol. They always depicted hunters as evil and without morals. I've shot vermin in my backyard, but with a BB gun, so to adhere with local laws and for safety. They were all humane kills. Alternatives would've been poisons and traps, which could lead to other animals being affected.
  2. What an amazing progress. I love how in Texas everybody is always "fixing to" do something.
  3. Isn't that feeling better than any cupcake?
  4. An ethical shot. To think I was once anti-hunting. I did not have a full understanding and was drawing conclusion out of ignorance. Just as I have mocked the keto diet. Not afraid to admit it, because I am not afraid to grow.
  5. I think your weight will even back out since you've just started, just keep on tweaking your ratios. Healing is the priority here, weight loss/gain is secondary. Consider also your body composition, when considering weight. Good luck to you.
  6. I've only ever hunted in videogames, and as an "expert" I say, perfect shot! Maybe someday I'll go hunt myself. I am quite a good shot at the range, but that is as far my experience goes.
  7. But does he heal them? These doctors claim they know it all but they watched us die for years. America has the lowest life expectancy rate of all high income western nations. These glorified drug dealers need to shut up. They should feel ashamed, hiding behind statements of AHA, as if that organization was not bought decades ago.
  8. Welcome, and buckle up, it's gonna be a ride!
  9. Early, always. I'd keep the workouts short, about 30 minutes. Every other day. That's more than enough. And never do cardio for weight-loss, do it for heart health, you cannot outrun a diet. So and hour and a half per week is more than enough. That's just my view on it and has worked for me for 15 yrs now.
  10. Scrambled eggs with tuna, a bit of shredded cheese, seasoned with salt. pepper, and chili powder.
  11. I've actually started to increase the volume of meals, and add 10 to 20 grams of carbs a day. My eating only when hungry led me to losing a bit too much weight. I know, that's a good problem to have. But that's going to be my approach, at least for a while.
  12. The power of an open mind...
  13. Who knows, your doctor maybe frying up some pork chops as we speak!
  14. It's a relief isn't it? It's why I am more willing to deal with a nurse practitioner than a doctor. They have more time to listen and are less indoctrinated.
  15. On the carnivore diet we do get enough protein to build muscle, it's much less of a factor to consider. Building mass, that is going to be a bit more challenging.
  16. I believe this to be absolutely true. I eat at my own schedule. At dinner time at the table, this means I mostly don't eat. I'll just do all the talking. Makes you realize the social significance of eating together.
  17. Good point. Most of us got here because we were lied to, to begin with.
  18. Likewise, and welcome.
  19. Yes, it's totally normal to still get hungry signals, it's an increase of the ghrelin hormone. Then Leptin is released to signal satiation, regulating food intake and the energy expenditure. And since we expend energy differently, this may be experienced slightly different when being fat adapted. At least, that is my understanding. And yes, carnivore alone will get you into IF in some sort of fashion since we are full for longer.
  20. Some flavors of Prime has been taken from the shelves in some EU countries. The difference between LMNT and Prime is, that Prime is garbage. LMNT is really not that bad of a product, but the problem is, their marketing was dishonest, and that is where Prime and LMNT and a host of other companies are very similar.
  21. It's a pleasant and quick read. One of the books that started my journey.
  22. I've had the same. A pound of meat is good for 6 hrs not eating. I think we need to look at our progress and the reason why. If your goal is losing weight then good, eat what your body asks for and leave it be. Do you feel weak? Are you getting too thin? Feeling tired? Eat more. We have to listen to our bodies more than we need to cinsider calories. Myself am in a position that I don't want to lose any more weight. Weight loss was never my goal. But I lost quite a percentage of body fat. And I don't want to look like I am doing meth. Fortunately I have muscle mass, and I don't feel weak or tired. I can tell that the weight I have lost was fat and "water". It really shows how nutritious meat can be. Long story short, I do eat only when hungry, but I do add butter, or an extra egg to meals now.
  23. I only use these electrolyte powders when working in the yard in the sun and sweating. It's an emergency item for me. They cost way too much, and they're simply not needed most of the time. I get a sugar free one from Walmart, I am sure there is dodgy stuff in there too. But it doesn't cost me my left arm. If you're charging that much money for a product, and claim to be free of undesirable additives, it's imperative that you then list each ingredient that goes in said product. It's the main reason I just use supplements, and even then I am not zealous about them. Except for Iodine, I do take that religiously.
