I am back at 135 after the holidays and my journey from the wagon to the ground. But this weight feels perfect.

- Hi, new Carnivore here...with a question or two.
I can eat a piece of candy -I won't but I can, experience the "high" without falling back into permanently eating it. Because the response to sugar is now so much more profound, I can tell what my body is trying to do. I become an observer rather than a consumer. The purpose of eating has also changed for me, it is no longer pure entertainment, but fuel and sustenance, not just a full belly.- Hi, new Carnivore here...with a question or two.

The good ol' dairy and sugar combo. A punch in the gut for most people.- "World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
That worked for me sir lol- This is why you need to be careful of cheese
I'll take my chances lol. Not that I eat a lot of it but it's a great tool to add flavor, and fat to a sometimes monotone diet. It also helps me to keep weight on when I get too lean.- Pork/Cat allergies...
Well, there's that.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I eat that almost everyday. Imagine yourself eating chili, or soup. Isn't that the same? I do add spices though, taco style. I add a little cheese and sour cream sometimes as well.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I have never seen anyone ever utter these words before. Thank you for that lol.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!

We all look for our own solution, and that is anything but cookie cutter. I absolutely agree. The example of your mother's case, plausibly with dire, tragic, consequences, is a good example.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
Fun fact: I did in fact jump right in like seal team 6. Without any consequences. No one will accuse me of being boring! lol- How much is too much salt
This is the right approach, especially when your kidneys are healthy and your carb intake is less than 45 or so grams a day. Salt becomes a problem when you are high carb/sugar. Then also consider the state of ketosis, the fewer liquid your body holds onto, etc.- Iodine supplementation, opinions.
- Iodine supplementation, opinions.
Start with low doses of iodine. Me and @Bob live in the mid-west, and that is known as the goiter belt. Eat seafood or take iodine supplements. You WILL be deficient if you don't eat enough seafood, no ifs or buts. I take Iodine derived from sea kelp, 450mcg a day. I'll probably increase the dose soon. I do not like mega-dosing anything. And yes, if you read on iodine, it's similar on what you will read on saturated fat and cholesterol, that it will kill you and have mere hours to live! Pay it no mind. ALL of our cells need iodine, MUCH like cholesterol. We will die without it.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
Happy new year, and welcome to the forum, and the carnivore diet. We'll be your tour guides for this year through this wonderful journey if you have any questions. My first advice you didn't ask for: ease into it, for at least 2 weeks. Good luck.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I am fortunate that dairy never did me wrong. Yes I have an auto immune disease, but those Dutch genes of mine make up for it.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I have checked the book, and sure enough, it counts! A noble resolution to help another with this diet.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I can understand for sure. Suffered for over 30 years, and only up to a few weeks ago, without pain. The horizon is wide and open. I have been rewarded greatly by going carnivore, hope the same will be the case for all of you.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
I say that's a good start of the year.- New Years Resolutions for 2025, Post Them Here!
Obviously, I'll keep on with the Carnivore diet, that is my main resolution. Another, going for US citizenship.
