11 months Carnivore: Financial limitations and lack of results.
You can make a switch to Keto, for sure. No problem. Now if you choose to go back to carb burning, I think you may gain weight back, you'll hold on to more liquid, and your body will go back to its old ways, fat cells do remember, after all. Whatever keeps you in ketosis, eat it. Have you considered pork? Forget the CICO model as long as you are in keto. IMO that would be a waste of time. It's really more like, carb in, carb out, thus when you are low carb/keto, it is not needed. It may even throw you off.

Coffee?
It's really the caffeine and oxalates you have to worry about when it comes to coffee. Whatever works for you of course. Myself I have switched to half-caf which allows me to enjoy my 3 cups of coffee a day.

Just found this interesting.
If you plant that in the backyard, it will grow a stalk towards riches beyond measure.

"Heart palpitations, flutters, or an increase in stroke volume on carnivore are common during the transition period. Like most other side effects, heart palpitations are a result of low electrolytes. All versions of high-fat low-carb diets cause insulin levels to drop, triggering the kidneys to excrete more sodium. Low sodium disrupts levels of magnesium and potassium." New here - will cravings ever stop?
I think cravings really depend on how you ate previously, before heading into a carnivore type diet. I was also just fine with a peanut butter sandwich everyday.

Leavening That Grows
An interesting observation. You do influence more by how you act and what you do, and perhaps how you feel, if that makes sense. If they see someone in good spirits, and healthy, that does more than any words. As I started my carnivore right before the holidays last year, I'll have no problem staying on the path, with regards to the diet. I may indulge in to cuts of meat I normally don't consume on the regular, like lamb. Not even close to being worried about the sweets that will adorn the table that day. That may also be a reason why I may grab a bite of it. I am fortunate not ever to have struggled with weight, so it's unlikely I will trigger a plateau in my weight journey, in fact I could use 2 extra pounds.

I did not read the comics, I make a point of it not to see what I read, whether it be a graphic novel or series on TV. As for Peter V. Brett, The Demon Cycle starts with The Warded Man and is quite dull the first few chapters, but you'll get rewarded pushing through it. I read 99% of the books unless the situation arises where I can listen to them. Right now I simply do not drive enough lol. Sand Dan Glokta is my favorite character in the Abercrombie series though, I know, weird.

The bloody nine... Other than Robin Hobb, Robert Jordan, Peter V Brett, one of my favorite fantasy authors. I think I read all nine books (The Blade Itself), but somehow I feel like the series should be continued, some open ends here and there. I recommend The Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett, 5 books all together. Anyways, enough geeking out and rerailing the threat. "It's better to do it, than live with the fear of it" Logen Ninefingers.

Tell me that name you use for your avatar is a Joe Abercrombie reference and we'll get along just fine. The best grim dark fantasy ever made.

If you want to put something in your burger meat, you can crumble a bit of pork rinds. Welcome to the club and good luck.

Back in Europe, we've always had to carry a quarter when going shopping for groceries. I eventually learned how to use a plastic stirring stick to "trick" the lock. The not bagging of groceries is also a very normal thing. I like bagging my own because they would squash the bread under a milk carton. Not that I live that life anymore.

Strength exercise (resistance training) can help lower cholesterol. It may also improve metabolism (much more than cardio). You create less reason why the LDL would be a bad thing for you.- Higher cholesterol at 7 months Carnivore
LDL is not causal in heart disease. There is no evidence that suggests a causal relation between LDL and arteriosclerosis and heart disease. The real question should be, why is my LDL high? Am I losing weight? Am I overconsuming carbs? Lack of exercise? Am I a smoker? Am I taking medications? Genetics? Thyroid issue? So many questions to ask oneself. Now to answer your question: Eat nothing but Oreo cookies for the next three days. (Do not attempt!)- Body composition with carnivore weight loss
The scale is not the be all and all. The scale, the mirror, AND the gym, will tell you much more. How do you look? What is your strength and fitness? Those combined with weight, will tell you what you need to know. Weight alone means relatively little. You need the mirror and an periodical assessment of your performance in the gym along side of just weight, to really know how you're doing. Losing weight can mean so many things, good or bad. Hence you should have alt three aforementioned factors in your journey towards health. Diet loses the fat, muscles keep the fat off. Weight is an arbitrary term better left out of the equation. Just my opinion. - Higher cholesterol at 7 months Carnivore
