Higher cholesterol at 7 months Carnivore
Strength exercise (resistance training) can help lower cholesterol. It may also improve metabolism (much more than cardio). You create less reason why the LDL would be a bad thing for you.

Higher cholesterol at 7 months Carnivore
LDL is not causal in heart disease. There is no evidence that suggests a causal relation between LDL and arteriosclerosis and heart disease. The real question should be, why is my LDL high? Am I losing weight? Am I overconsuming carbs? Lack of exercise? Am I a smoker? Am I taking medications? Genetics? Thyroid issue? So many questions to ask oneself. Now to answer your question: Eat nothing but Oreo cookies for the next three days. (Do not attempt!)

Body composition with carnivore weight loss
The scale is not the be all and all. The scale, the mirror, AND the gym, will tell you much more. How do you look? What is your strength and fitness? Those combined with weight, will tell you what you need to know. Weight alone means relatively little. You need the mirror and an periodical assessment of your performance in the gym along side of just weight, to really know how you're doing. Losing weight can mean so many things, good or bad. Hence you should have alt three aforementioned factors in your journey towards health. Diet loses the fat, muscles keep the fat off. Weight is an arbitrary term better left out of the equation. Just my opinion.

1 Year Carniversary
Exactly one year ago I made the decision to go carnivore. Here's the positives: About 70% of my health concerns have gone away, an incredible improvement for someone with auto immune condition and chronic pain. I feel my teeth have gotten stronger, less sensitive, no bleeding gums, less plaque build up. My skin has gotten better as well, less blemishes on my face, and overall healthy complexion. My muscle tone is off the charge, six pack abs, defined shoulders, traps, lats, overall a more muscular look. The bath room visit is quick, clean, and smooth, I can't remember when I had a belly ache. I haven't been sick once during this year. My workouts are less painful, I feel strong and supple. After a brief dip in strength, it came back to its original state. My brain is more focused, quicker on the draw, I notice this most when driving in busy traffic, or when I read. Less emotional mood swings, more stable. Here's the negatives: While I love my new body composition, I feel my face is a little to thin, I guess that comes with the territory. The social disconnect when it comes to eating, it has a different meaning to me now, and I have such a different schedule. The limitation when traveling, the easiness of grabbing a pop tart and head out the door, not a huge deal though, convenience and comfort is an enemy, it makes one soft. So that is briefly my summation of my experience during the year of carnivore. During this year I've had half a slice of cheese cake, half a cookie, a piece of chocolate here and there. But it never invited a way back to carbs for me. All these transgressions were paired with some sort of social event, and haven't interfered with any weight goals -as I don't have any. I've learned how to taste food in an entire new way, my sense of taste was reset thus the occasional lapse resulted in being overwhelmed by the sweetness and my physical reaction to it. I've gained so much awareness about eating and nutrition. Overall a good experience, and I am on to my next year. Weight change in a year: from 148lbs. to 133lbs.

Craving or life-long habit? or the same
Again, not implying that our parents were with ill intent, in fact, it is how I raised my son at the time. Good behavior led always to a sugary treat. I have since educated him about food and he is eating fairly healthy.

Craving or life-long habit? or the same
It's programming. We are trained like dogs, you do good and you get sweetness in your mouth for 5 seconds, and it works, because this starts when we are children. A piece of candy and a pat on the back from good old dad and so the association starts. And thus, we see the taste of sweet in our mouths as some sort of reward. Conditioning, no different than Pavlov and his dogs, the inventor of conditioning.

New here - will cravings ever stop?
Welcome to the forums. You'll stop cravings when enough time has passed, a lifetime of carbs, it will take a while, depending on how much carbs you ate. Easpecially for vegans it can be tough. Another reason is; you may have to find the right amount of fat and protein, or rather, the ratio. Even 7 months in I had cravings to eat, and found I was eating too much fat and too little protein, or the other way around. I apologies if I have missed it, are your cravings for carbs? or for food in general. I am assuming carbs. I'd like to wish you good luck and your English is better than mine. The most important thing is to keep truckin', yes the cravings will eventually go away.

People only see when they want to see.- Totally Agree!
Maybe regulate the marketing instead of the product, some claims could not be made, for example. But if you pay the FDA enough money, you can claim it gives you wings. The responsibility is at the doctors and dieticians. They make the claims and should be held accountable. But the choice is not the problem in my view. Now, we could ban the use of certain chemicals in "foods" etc, I am all for that. But any food with more than 3 or 4 ingredients, should be avoided regardless. By default such food is detrimental to ones health.- Totally Agree!
I'm all for choice, as an adult, if you want to digest vegetable oils, it should be your choice. Not a fan of banning stuff. But... allow people to make an informed decision, have it clearly state on the package, like they do with cigarettes in Europe.- What Did You Eat Today?

I blame Disney movies lol. They always depicted hunters as evil and without morals. I've shot vermin in my backyard, but with a BB gun, so to adhere with local laws and for safety. They were all humane kills. Alternatives would've been poisons and traps, which could lead to other animals being affected.- Before and now
What an amazing progress. I love how in Texas everybody is always "fixing to" do something.- Before and now
Isn't that feeling better than any cupcake?- Went grocery shopping in God’s great supermarket.
An ethical shot. To think I was once anti-hunting. I did not have a full understanding and was drawing conclusion out of ignorance. Just as I have mocked the keto diet. Not afraid to admit it, because I am not afraid to grow.- New Guy from Oklahoma
I think your weight will even back out since you've just started, just keep on tweaking your ratios. Healing is the priority here, weight loss/gain is secondary. Consider also your body composition, when considering weight. Good luck to you.- Went grocery shopping in God’s great supermarket.
I've only ever hunted in videogames, and as an "expert" I say, perfect shot! Maybe someday I'll go hunt myself. I am quite a good shot at the range, but that is as far my experience goes.- 10 week carnivore
But does he heal them? These doctors claim they know it all but they watched us die for years. America has the lowest life expectancy rate of all high income western nations. These glorified drug dealers need to shut up. They should feel ashamed, hiding behind statements of AHA, as if that organization was not bought decades ago. - Great visit with my Neurologist today
