CHECK YOUR BUTTER.....
Orweller replied to Meathead's topic in Diet News, Medical Research, & Health Reports
Just letting everybody know I am safe and sound, and survived the butter debacle of 2024! Be safe out there folks! -
Post a picture... Any picture
Orweller replied to Bob's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
It's why I always hope carnivores don't turn into the same type of zealots. Ya know? Like cross-fitters. Some people become what they're in to. It becomes an identity and I think at that point we lose the plot. It closes others from adapting our health choices that we think are best. I make efforts on not telling people what to eat because it reminds me of vegans, which is close to a cult, in my humble opinion. Especially because they think they have the moral high ground. I will never appreciate this coming from carnivores, as we very well know that it only sets people against them. We'll become a meme, a joke, or even, a cult. My wife is not carnivore, she is very health minded, I never try to convince her. She is just seeing I am doing so much better and starts asking questions. -
CHECK YOUR BUTTER.....

I just saw this. Hilarious delivery by Ken Berry. Almost had me. The silliness that is the FDA. What a waste of resources. Hopefully that's another agency that will get cleaned out. -

You're not obligated to explain what you eat, nor should any one. I understand you just had fun conversation so it doesn't really matter. Good to see they had an open mind at least.

Hi and welcome. I do believe there are zoom meetings every now and then. Good luck on your journey.

Exactly, one step at a time. If coffee and sugar is the only thing you do outside of an animal based diet, you're already doing really good. I am still working on it myself. Carnivore does not mean 100% animal products. Perfection is the enemy of progress.

Appeal to authority by citing CDC in this laughable article. Using the CDC as a source is not the flex they think it is lol.

I have coffee with butter and a packet of stevia. Takes some time to get used to, but it's no carb. Sometimes coffee with coconut oil, a little bit more silky, allowing more of the coffee flavor, also with stevia. Carnivore for almost a year now. No problem. I would not worry too much about the coffee, but try to replace the sugar with stevia. The sugar is the "issue" here. For obvious reasons.

Not only America, but the western world needs an overhaul. It's about time for a good look at our agencies regarding our food and health. They have failed us utterly over the last 40 years. This is not even a political statement. Finally it's being addressed since these ridiculous guidelines the government accepted under Truman. Let's address fats, high fructose corn syrup, seed oils, I bet the corporations are shaking in their boots right now. I bet the agencies are shaking in their boots as well.

Falling Off The Wagon
Orweller replied to Rose62's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Even if you're out of ketosis, it's not something to worry about. For example, I ate a cookie last week. Somebody baked their own cookies and asked me to taste it. I didn't want to be an asshole so I did. Then I moved on. Like you, I also do not seek to lose weight. So it's not like it'd be interrupting a weight loss journey of the kind. Once you're fat adapted it's much easier to go in and out of keto, I've been at it for nearly a year now, so I am not worried. The cookie was ok, said it was amazing. But I did not want more, I did not like the effect it had on me. The shackles of sugar are slowly eroding. -
Vitamin K1 and K2 MK7
Orweller replied to michael1222's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Of course, we each make our own choices. But blood tests are based on the "normal" numbers, the norm is however that 80% of Americans are metabolically unwell. When it comes to nutrients etc, they do not tell the entire story. Low vitamin D on a blood test does NOT necessarily mean you have low D. it means you have low D compared to the general population. So you get a test that merely gives you a suggestion. At the end of the day we make our own choices. And that is fine by me. I am merely explaining my opinion here and why I have it. Doctors have failed me for the last 30 years. In fact they wrote me of some 20 years ago. I was not even supposed to walk. -
I don't see how carnivore can be bad for AFib? You'll need a healthy weight, exercise, correct blood pressure (no sugar!). Those things can be obtained whilst being on carnivore. Good luck and keep asking questions.

I don't worry about bloodwork. No symptoms? No bloodwork. I guess I could make the same claim for supplements, but in my case, I have always supplemented somewhat. I knew I wasn't getting enough sun, etc. I do not mega dose either. Nor do I supplement daily, other than my iodine. Which trust me, you do need. -
joint stiffness-do I need supplements?
Orweller replied to Colene's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
But if coffee is still consumed, which is high in oxalates, can it really be oxalate dumping? I am of the understanding that oxalate dumping happens if you quit consuming them all together. -

My guess, magnesium or potassium levels, both significant for joint health. Look into it. -

Butter, eggs, and hard cheeses for k2. I also have an occasional supplement of k2 with my d3. -
I am trying to get there. Not the 20 ounces, but the decaf. It's in my pantry, and occasionally I stare at it. And I say: "Not today, Satan!". And I slam the door shut.

V-Shred has already been obliterated many times and at this point has become a meme. He's been called out for his BS products, copying other channels, etc. The fitness tubers have already put him in his place. Also, it's Menshealth, if you read that, you deserve what you get. -

I am not against raw, but not THAT raw lol -
Joseph Goebbels was the mastermind behind Hitler's propaganda. They used tactics used still today, I absolutely agree. These tactics, specifically mentioned in 1984 by Orwell, have become obvious over the years. It's why my avatar includes George Orwell eating a steak lol.

Why Keto & Carnivore?
We believe that a proper, all natural human diet should be meat-based, whether that's a keto, ketovore, or carnivore lifestyle. You will thrive on most nutrient dense foods on the planet, lose weight, and possibly reverse disease and chronic illnesses, so why not give this a try?
