I went from 148 to 135 myself. I am 5'9, quite lean. I have been working out for some odd 18 years now, so the results are lean muscle mass shows. If you lose weight, and you don't workout, you see the results of not what you've not eaten, but what you have not done while not eating. Don't force feed yourself, your body knows when it has fuel. If you don't already, start lifting heavy, your body will start asking for more food and fat. And the bonus is, you build that lean mass that is so important for your metabolism. Yes, losing weight happens in the kitchen, but we can't ignore the gym.

Anyone use Indoor grill?
Orweller replied to tatortot's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
I've looked into that as well, but found it to be very limited. I got a cast iron pan instead. Cheaper and will outlast an air fryer, in fact, it will outlast me lol. -
Carnivore costs more?

I'll drink a cup for you this morning. One of my last vices btw. -
Carnivore costs more?

And, you know the animal has not suffered -or at least, you have a say in it. While at the same time putting that money into conservation and balancing deer population. Eating game food makes you part of a much better ecological system, no meat factories, etc etc.... -
Carnivore costs more?
Orweller replied to Scott F.'s topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
With the food prices as they are this is the perfect time to rid oneself of junk food. I've always made my own coffee at home. Why did you quit coffee? -
That is when you make batch videos and release them over a span of time. I used to make a few, then slowly release them. That will be very good for the algorithm. But even better for your followers. They will know that a given Wednesday or Friday, they can expect a video from you. A job always comes first of course, and family. I also get into too many things and have since abandoned my channel. My issue was content. I did enjoy editing, I did enjoy working on it, especially hitting 1000 subs. It was all just for fun. It's almost like you need a team for a good running channel, I came home from work, and worked the rest of the evening on editing. Every day.

Negative feedback loop
Orweller replied to Miranda's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
Ice cream? I am not about that life no more... RIP ice cream, fare you well. -
Daily alcohol use will make weight loss very challenging. On a hormonal level alone, not even regarding the physiological response to alcohol, and lastly the "energy" source it presents. Vodka is already a lot better choice than beer. Good luck, I hope you're having success.

I'm in shock over oxalates
Orweller replied to BevG's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
I've had the same eye-opening moment. Spinach was my favorite go to. Eating lots and lots like a good boy. It was quite the paradigm shift. -
Youtubing is hard, took me 6 months and one of my shorts got 192k views. I've stopped since, but loved the creating. I did use YT Buddy for algorithm, tags, description, and overall scheduling. Consistency is everything. Same time, same day, the right day for your audience, etc. I actually liked that aspect of it, to figure that out. I'd just need different content to work on. You've got good audio, good video, and your thumb nails pop out.

Carnivore costs more?
Orweller replied to Scott F.'s topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
I've been saving a lot of money since on carnivore. No more buying crackers, cookies, chips, canned beans, granola bars, heaps of vegetables, brownie mix, bread, etc, etc. I look for discounted meat and freeze it. And @MirandaI too, save on toilet paper. And we all know toilet paper will become our next currency, as been tested during the covid times . No, I am certain that for me, this diet has been much cheaper. No snacking here and there, not running in a gas station for a candy bar. It's not even close. You do NOT need the expensive meat either. -
This is really what it's all about. Diet is an individual experience, and a diet such as carnivore, there's a lot of learning. Use what works, and discard what doesn't. The LMNT pouches are over-priced anyways. I use them, but only when needed, when working outside in the sun or another activity. I use regular supplements, but even those with caution. Good on you, for not giving up, but rather finding a solution that resulted in your fat-loss and riddance of your prescription drugs. Now that, is a victory.

🤔 What Are Your Thoughts On Grounding? 🤔
Orweller replied to Carnivore Club's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
Deep fried, I'd gather. -
Fat is your fuel now. Always remember. Of course, you're going to have have with drawl symptoms as well from carb intake. Your body responds differently, chemically and hormonally to the foods you now eat. 60 to 90 days is what you need and you'll learn a ton in that time. Snacking is over now. Like other's have stated, 2 or 3 big meals should be your goal. Good luck.

Low Energy on Carnivore Diet
Orweller replied to John4's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
There's going to be time needed for adaptation, I'd say a good 3 months. Also, check your electrolytes, salt intake, etc. Initially I lost a bit of oomph during workouts in the beginning, but that's now a non-issue, especially since I've addressed electrolytes and fat intake, since that is your new fuel. Keep adjusting. I have been working out for over 18 years now, I haven't found the diet somehow, spoiling my workouts, it just took some adjustment time and tweaking energy management and nutrient intake. -
Best Type of Salt
Orweller replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
I do eat a lot of eggs, seafood scarcely, not much fresh sea food here in Ohio. Used to eat the herring straight out of the North Sea. Not a picky eater, fortunately. -
Best Type of Salt
Orweller replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
I've heard it somewhere to mix both iodized salt and sea salt. Best of both worlds. I'm going to be honest, I do not worry about salt too much. Table salt or iodized salt, I use them interchangeably (That a word?), English is my second language, I could be wrong in terminology sometimes. Welcome to the forums and good luck on your journey. I've had over 30 years of chronic pain due to an auto immune disease that supposedly would put me into a wheel chair. Fun times. -

Orweller replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Damn, look at me being basic using iodized table salt. In the cheap white can from Walmart. I do have sea salt in the cupboard somewhere, any reason why I use that too? -
So you are on the lion/carnivore diet, but drink vegan protein shakes?

Exercise for new carnivores?
Orweller replied to beefd4life's topic in General Health and Wellness Discussion
I know it was all good, and thank you. Chronic pain will have you act before you have no choice, most people act when they have no other choice. To feel like 65 at 17 has led me to feel like 30 at 49. -

And sometimes, I sound like a car salesman haha. With 31 years of chronic pain, one becomes an expert. -
I am sure we all know that we are being conditioned to always be in strive, you'll be put in a category and expect you to defend that. Don't be in a tribe, don't identify yourself with what you eat. Just do what you do while being a universal mind, that can agree or disagree with a myriad of propositions, without becoming hateful. It is a distraction after all, this cultural thing. We live in a country that adds a TRILLION dollars of deficit every 100 days, we are witnessing a desperate attempt, to distract us from the notion, we are being goose stepped into a WW3 situation, to distract us from how recklessly our money was wasted for years to come, and how poorly we treat our veterans, distracting us from their attempts to poison us and our children. Do not place your selves in the trenches they are digging for you, keep spreading positivity, be the example.

Why Keto & Carnivore?
We believe that a proper, all natural human diet should be meat-based, whether that's a keto, ketovore, or carnivore lifestyle. You will thrive on most nutrient dense foods on the planet, lose weight, and possibly reverse disease and chronic illnesses, so why not give this a try?
