Hello all
Knees up, back straight, and a little prayer. Lots of fat, and magnesium supplements. If you have to, a fiber supplement, a little bit of fiber to temporarily heal you should not hurt you.

A lot of confusion about the food we are told to eat and how i feel after eating them
Exactly this. At 48 I lift as well, for a good 16 years now. People have to understand that input is output, what you give is what you get. You have to sacrifice something. But most of us are conditioned for the immediate reward, and we get adjusted to over indulgence. Even if not carnivore, or keto, or even Atkins, or low carb, at least eat healthy.

We are on our own. Make the best choices for yourself, that is all you can do. It's a shameful state of affairs, but here we are. Only you have the best interest for yourself in mind, nobody else, no government, no insurance company, medical entity, etc. That maybe perceived as a cynical view, but it's based on factual observation. Why is obesity on the rise? And what about cancer? Metabolic syndrome? Mental issues? Aren't we supposed to have evolved in our modern society? All that knowledge we gained?

Issue with greasy taste in mouth long after the meal
Maybe it's just keto-breath?

Swearing on TV
The prohibition of anything does not work. Swearing or not swearing should be decided by parents and care-takers. That is my take.

Advice on Carnivore Diet Failure and what to do next?
Keto is amazing for body composition. If you still gain weight, check at the doctors office, maybe you've got a thyroid thingy. If you've done everything and still can't lose weight, there's gotta be more at play. Simple as that. I would stop drinking your calories if you didn't already. No protein shakes, no creatine, or any of that. Working out more can cause more hunger and cause you to eat more. Focus on what you put in, more than what you put out. Obviously you workout enough. Start by adding greens, they are low in calories and low in carbs, but full with nutrients. You can eat that in higher volumes and they make you feel full. Another step away from that is going low carb/adkins vs. keto. Do what works for you. As for me, my body composition changed for the good, got a six pack at 48, muscle definition, etc. Good luck, don't give up.

Flying solo
I am the only one in the household that is carnivore. But I don't get any faces. I get encouragement, they see the results and cheer me on. My wife started considering and scrutinizing her carbs though, and has always been a very disciplined eater. Caught her reading a keto book even. I was the sugar addict, and that is now gone. I've even become good at cooking my meat, and they ask if I want to prepare food (meat), while that normally wasn't requested. Because I loathe and stink at cooking.

Can you spot the vegan? Can you spot the omnivore?
I happen to be a twin, and my brother did attempt vegan with disastrous results. That Netflix show is absolute garbage.

Question on experience with high intensity weightlifting and preloading carbs (Honey) before workout
Orweller replied to vincentcarnivore's post in a topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb SupportI'd say my strength took a 30% hit, that and recovery. I do have some carbs per day, about 40gr or so from several sources, more consequences than actual deliberate intake. I am also leaner so it is logical that I lost a bit of strength. Mass moves mass. I lost about 8% of my former body weight. I do see plenty of muscle definition, not actual loss of muscle mass. Less bloated, less pump also. When it comes to endurance, I feel much more equipped now. If that makes sense. No beach muscle but purely functional, I'd say. Either or, our bodies are unique machines, for some carnivore works, others need to adapt, and other may even have to go Adkins or low carb. It is what it is. I doubt if you were doing it wrong. -

I think it would be a alternative to carnivore and keto, a good one at that. A low carb, anti-inflammatory diet, if you will. But as a keto diet it would be very challenging, also with regards to insulin response, it would not be ideal. Again, it depends on what your goals are. It's much like going to the gym. Know why before you do.- Two weeks in and wondering if anyone has ever heard of these symptoms
That is really what this is. Learning about yourself and food, your relationship with food, and your body's reaction to food.- Two weeks in and wondering if anyone has ever heard of these symptoms
It will be a funny story later. That's how we learn and stay humble.- The power of Big Medicine and Big Media
And once you know, you know. I think the food industry taught all the other big industries to get away with such deception. They saw the complacency, they saw the money coming in, and thus, we have these huge entities deceiving us without a care for our health. We condition our children, turn them into addict from a young age, we "celebrate" moments with, and always with, this toxic waste. Your kid wins a baseball game? Lets get out and have some titanium dioxide (pizza). Watching a movie? Let's have some poly-fluroroalkyl and PFC's (popcorn). Remember that pizza is now categorized as a vegetable, and popcorn is often labeled as a healthy snack. No, there is no such thing as a healthy snack. Snacking is eating out of boredom, out of habit, out of a lack of having proper nutritious meals.- The power of Big Medicine and Big Media
Same here. I save about $100 a month eating this way. I look for deals and put it in the freezer. I don't snack, I don't get that candy bar at the gas station, I don't eat 5 times a day anymore. I eat and I am full, satiated, and don't think of food between meals. I save on toilet paper too!- Two weeks in and wondering if anyone has ever heard of these symptoms
Almost a gallon in 2 days? That is dedication right there. But yes, please don't do that anymore. It's obviously a craving you deal with so early into this diet. Good luck.

Why Keto & Carnivore?
We believe that a proper, all natural human diet should be meat-based, whether that's a keto, ketovore, or carnivore lifestyle. You will thrive on most nutrient dense foods on the planet, lose weight, and possibly reverse disease and chronic illnesses, so why not give this a try?
