  1. If you chop up the suet, can you cook it on cookie sheet like bacon? Does it get crispy. Will there be more tallow than with bacon?
  2. I think those numbers are fine, and if you are went into a time machine and saw a doctor before they started pushing stations so hard. They'd say fine too! I would recommend eating plain gelatin and bone broth to help repair your intestines.
  3. I love this idea! Thanks for explaining your experiment. I always look at the suet in the store. But chicken out. I bet that shredded beef stew with blue cheese and chunks of suet was perfection. Although, if I described this to my SAD eating friends and family, I'm sure it would conjure up some not so nice reactions. I think it's a great idea to have a thread for a specific food how to and benefits.
  4. This morning I accidentally put a tsp of Malden's into my instant decaf instead of allulose. I realized it before I drank it, but not until after I added the water
  5. That looks great! I will definitely be trying this recipe soon.
  6. No one is going to police your plate here! If your looking for a happy little meat tribe. You came to the right place. I look forward to seeing your creations.
  7. I feel like pork panko needs to be involved.
  8. Welcome, to the group! I have been dabbling with strict carnivore for a little over a year. I am getting better at avoiding the social pressures. Sometimes, I cave out of lack of preparation. I don't have any heath history that would keep me on the straight and narrow. But I'm over 50 and want to keep the candle burning bright till the final hour. Non of this flickering away my final decades in a nursing home business. I also homeschool my son.
  9. Yes, the carbs trigger future hunger. I think red meat is the best food for satiety.
  10. My husband will love this tho, he always gets Mexican coke whenever he sees it. As a treat. We have never been regular soda drinkers.
  11. I spent so much time on Amazon after watching that reading reviews. Still no closer to purchase.
  12. I wonder if there is histamine issue here. I have a hard time with ground beef and slow cooked meats. I like to get a chuck steak. It looks like a thinner version of the Chuck pot roast. I just grill it and eat it over three meals. I would look for cheap steaks rather than ground beef. Also try getting some plain gelatin. For diarrhea I take calcium supplements. They help.
  13. You may also tag someone by typing @ before their name @jmnew51
  14. Last night's pork roast turned out really well. I nibbled some of that for lunch. Egg for breakfast and chuck steak for dinner. I made some ice cream with allulose mid-day so I had a bit of that too
  15. Greek yogurt with peach and pecan Random bits of cheeses Cream and berry smoothie Pork roast
  16. It turns out my "health coach " is a carnivore!!! We had a great conversation and I will be increasing my activity!
  17. I made it to 47 hours. I had some hard boiled and devilled eggs. Then at dinner proceeded to eat all the things ie crap. This "I earned it" mindset is a hard one for me to crack. Now it's 5am and I have heart burn.🤦🏻‍♀️
  18. After rereading what I posted I can see how you would think I am working for the insurance company, lol. Sorry about that. No this is an incentive program, they are trying to nudge the customers into "healthy" behaviors. One of the ways I can get incentive money is by listening to horse excrement.
  19. Cold chuck steak Cottage cheese Deviled egg We had tennis lessons in the evening, so I was able to skip dinner without any side eye from my husband
  20. Hmmm, my motives are to retrieve all the $$$ Easter eggs the insurance company is offering. Someone close to me often reminds me to never leave money on the table. He's getting paid --not to sell a product -- but to give bad intel. He probably doesn't know diddly squat about insulin or what actually causes heart disease. He will, no doubt, be reading from a script. So I will listen to his speil, I guess I could ask him if he follows his own advice and ask how well it's working for him. Maybe I will study some Bart Kay and recite his explanation of the randle cycle to the poor guy.
  21. My insurance has a rewards incentive program. If go to the website and play bean counter like games they used to cut a check. They would pay you $25 -50 to do routine well visits and preventative visits. If you check the boxes for reading their advice they will give you $5 here and there. Today I called to sign up for tele-health coach. Now I am faced with the moral dilemma, do I lie and act like I will take their advice just to get the money. Or do I try to enlighten the poor schlep blessed with my case. Some poor guy in a call center who must get paid by the phone call. He was talking so fast I couldn't understand him. Undoubtedly he will just be reading from the same horse excrement I read online earlier. Things like eat "every 3-5 hours to avoid crashes" Try a new grain! Blech!
