  1. I agree with @Geezy that you might not want to do all the things all at once. For me, when I gave up the regular coffee I noticed muscle pain and tightness I had had since I started drinking it in my early twenties went away and come back immediately with just one cup.
  2. Then there is this example of mal-information. No where in this article do they discuss iodine( the halide, our body actually needs; sadly blocked by fluoride. But I'm just "uneducated" "garbage", so don't take my word for it.
  3. I love Dr McGee. His voice is still on the radio here. My favorite quote from him is, "you can't sow wild oats in your youth and expect to reep a rose garden in your marriage" too bad I heard that 15 yrs too late.
  4. Clip of interview with RFK Jr. Make America hopeful again!
  5. Hello and welcome! Be sure to check in and post often!
  6. I was headed here to say this also.
  7. This is me. I drink a lot of decaf. Hot, cold, black, or tan. It helps to get quality decaf. I won't drink the instant my husband uses.
  8. Hi and welcome! You know yourself best, are you a rip off the band aid quickly sort or more take your time. Just decide cold turkey or make a plan to gradually wean yourself off of sweets. Don't however, try to use anything with sweeteners natural or otherwise. This is my opinion others may disagree, but sweeteners cause struggles in maintaining this lifestyle.
  9. I eat generic bacon. Sometimes I get North Country Smoked. It's better quality and local, but very expensive. I like what @Geezy said about perfection being the enemy of good. I guess it depends on what place you started at and where you are aiming with your Carnivore journey, as to what extent you seek purity. I am not aiming to be a supermodel or Olympic athlete at age 51. I simply want to avoid dementia and live pain free. So I don't care about a bit of sugar in the bacon. But if I were aiming to optimize then yes, I guess this would be something to consider.
  10. Strip steak Bone broth/meatball soup. Decaf
  11. This reminds me of histamines. Leftovers are higher on histamines.
  12. Decaf Broth Fried beef fat. Meatballs Fried eggs
  13. Thank you& Amen! Daniel, is often errantly used to push plant based diets. What their missing is the fact that it was God that made Daniel healthy and robust despite his diet. Out siders expected him to fail on lentils and broth, because without divine intervention he surely would have!
  14. This. I just visited the USS Albacore last month and I was highly anxious by the time I got through it. I can't comprehend how you guys manage. But I appreciate that you do!
  15. Are you using your own basket? Those k cups are putting plastic in your body.
  16. Mt Hagen instant actually tastes better than regular drip Folgers or MH imo.
  17. No pressure! You probably won't realize the difference until you add it back. I drink just d caf everything, or water, and everything time I drink it, usually on a Saturday afternoon, it always gets me.
  18. Hi Nani, So glad you are here! Sorry to hear of your recent pain and discomfort, I hope it passes quickly. Sometimes we can feel crappy because of the following: 1. oxalates. Sometimes they can give us a hard time (for sometimes) after we give them up. 2. Gut biome. (like @Geezy spoke of) 3. Electrolytes 4. Too much fat in a certain period of time. ( Fat is great and we should eat a fatty meat diet, but too much all at once and we might not have enough bile to tolerate it) you may need to add more fat gradually to your daily regimen.
  19. This past weekend, I had some office work to catch up on so I had a cup of coffee. I felt it would help me stay lazer focused on my task and it delivered. The down side was the next day, waking up to sore muscles and not feeling as spry on my walk in the woods. What are your thoughts, opinions and experiences, with coffee? Share them here.
  20. Welcome to the community, Inky! I have unflavored Re-lyte from Redmond on hand but I actually use it only occasionally. Sometimes I season broth with it. And I might use it if I had been sweating a lot. I have never had the reaction to the level you did, but I have felt excess twitching after taking them. I would say, save them for if you are feeling weak or have a headache.
  21. This must be so melt in your mouth! DH and I got a smoker about a month ago but we haven't read the instructions yet. This is some motivation!
