  1. He was decent enough to let me audio record and if you could hear him you would laugh. I'm gonna sow more than a seed. How's he going to refute someone who's got PhD in neuroscience<25 years AND PhD in cardiovascular <<24 years that's published evidence statins are basically only good as a business model and nothing else
  2. So my cardiologist tried to explain red meat causes inflammation, my 230 ldl cholesterol was bad and has to get closer to 55 to avoid another maybe more serious cardiovascular event. He said carbs are not the problem it's red meat. I asked him how is it my neuropathy in both legs and feet 95% reversed, I wake up wide eye and bushy tail,I can run up 2 flights of stairs and not be winded,AND after 15 years I wake up with a morning wood like a 15 yr old boy. His response was I can only recommend, suggest to you so as to prevent another event. We both agreed to disagree, he refuses to let his pride go and look into this lifestyle for enlightening. I will definitely print abstract of studies in BMJ and present them my 6 month appointment.
  3. I'm so jealous, I need to get 2 or 3 vintage skillets that don't break the bank. My newer lodge had a rough finish but with using metal spatulas and years of care it's now smooth but not as good as Griswold, wapak.
  4. Waiting for 2nd set different rubs on each. Shoulda gotten the 1200dlx but oh well. Video is too large and sailor mouth NSFW . 20240910_162953.mp4
  5. So far feeling better day by day even though I'm not active until after surgery. Hovering around 265lbs, my moobs almost disappeared (yayyyyyy). Lost 2 inches on belly. Total wt loss is 35lbs. All of this and more in my 90 days of carnivore. Can't wait to see 180 days then 1 yr. This is more exciting than when I sobered up cold turkey.
  6. @Scott F. You have more faith than myself for eating outside foods. Congratulations on your accomplishments thus far and sticking with this.
  7. This is NOT to be confused with American Diabetes Association. Thank you. I couldn't have done this nice a job with all the links.
  8. Sorry I'm not into public speaking or anything like that unless I'm chewing someone out for something Maybe hear my jams tomorrow while I smoke ribs on the back deck.
  9. Normal value: <75 nmol/L Mine is 11 So as long as this reading isn't supposed to be converted I should be ok.
  10. I didn't want to give up drinking but happy I did. I figured nothing was going to control my life if it affected my health or family again. Like @Geezy said not all at once as it can derail, overwhelm you. Best of luck we know you can keep on bettering yourself.
  11. 5 lbs pork butt, 1lb ribeye and fixing to eat 1.25lb 80/20 minced beef
  12. So labs haven't been looked at by cardiologist but my LPA was 11. Is this good bad or am I screwed? Any insight appreciated.
  13. I'm not Bob but hope this helps. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIAsSAgTRb4
  14. As most minerals can. I agree with @Geezy get thorough blood work done and work from there.
  15. Eaten about 1lb/500g after blood work today. Eating throughout tonight
  16. Here's something about electrolytes. https://youtube.com/shorts/qIiO-ENzxCo?si=sQiBed7B_Wnj1---
  17. Rock, Redmond real salt, Himalayan salt or Celtic sea salt with water for electrolytes, all this marketed bull crap with Stevie and flavorings may not work for some people. I do Redmond salt and water myself. Dr Shawn Baker works out and is knowledgeable about carnivore lifestyle. He has a youtube channel. Pork should be like pork belly, chicken should be thighs (they have the most fat) with skin on. Limit yourself on any meat other than fatty beef ie; chuck roast, ribeye and such. Save money buying a chuck roll and cut it up yourself, Butcher Wizard has channel dedicated to processing sub primal cuts for people. Here's someone who has a video that may help you understand better than I can explain.
  18. Just be aware all natto is not the same. You have to try different brands and make sure they're imported not made in USA. I stopped natto taking advice from fellow members until my lab results come back. Good luck and welcome to the healthy lifestyle.
  19. Smoking pork butt for tonight.
  20. Took 3 days and a ribeye, 3 burgers 5 meat sticks.
  21. “Cereals, whole grain breads, for example, they are also considered ultraprocessed food, but they contain various beneficial nutrients like fiber, vitamins and minerals,”
  22. https://www.cnn.com/2024/05/08/health/ultraprocessed-foods-death-study-wellness/index.html
  23. Stevia and any sweetener sucks IMO, Redmond Real Salt and water 24/7 is my go to.
  24. I've always considered pork the other white meat.
