Balancing physical & mental fitness

Recommended Posts

Interesting thought, in that I don't think much about it, lol.

I feel that if I am focused on something, my mental well-being will be in a good place. Currently, I am focused on health and nutrition through the use of a keto-carnivore diet. So not only am I eating right and exercising, I am also consuming an incredible amount of information through medical journals and keto-carnivore influencers.

I have one particular medical issue that I haven't been able to reverse, and if I over analyze that I will get stressed and burned out, so I have to take steps back and just trust that I am doing the best I can do with what I have.

Physical fitness is taken care of by eating carnivore and staying active. I do some exercises but nothing hard.
Mentally? Never been a problem for me. I’ve always had a very strong mindset.
Mental health is for the weak minded who are not in control of themselves and their emotions.

If I have any weakness in that area it would be anger. I get really pissed off at stupid people doing stupid things. But I control that emotion. It’s been a long time since I’ve pull someone out of their car and beat the shit out of them.

I balance my diet by combining a vegetarian diet with a carnivore diet. When I eat meat, I always eat a lot of veggies as well. For example, my chicken soup is not just chicken, it also contains a lot of cabbage, onion, and spinach. I don't work out in a gym but I regularly go for a walk for health and fitness. When my body feels good, my mind also feels good.

I agree. I think it goes hand in hand. On the days that I can get a workout in, I feel my mental is in a much better place. Sometimes I think, physical exercise is at least 50% mental therapy. Getting rid of bad energy, putting your body to work. I feel a lot less on edge. Same with diet, it can mentally, impact your day.
