Is eating butter driving my cholesterol

I have been eating a little more butter lately and my total cholesterol had mostly stayed below 400, now it’s above and I’m a little concerned

I went on a protein kick and sort of let the fat content drop (not really paying attention) my cholesterol dropped by 15 points in about 70 days. Then when I shifted back to a high fat/moderate protein approach (which included what most would consider 'a lot' of butter) I jumped back up nearly 20 points in about 90 days.

Not sure that answered or helped.

It’s not a big deal in my opinion. It’s natural for those eating a high fat and protein diet to have higher cholesterol numbers simply because we are using fat for energy so we need that fat running through our veins.

What important is Triglycerides to HDL ratio and yours if fantastic.

If you are really that concerned then go get a CAC score done and or a complete lipid profile done that includes looking at the size of your LDL particles.

Thank you, I eat less than 1/4 of a stick, maybe closer to 1/8, I am still scared and don't really want another heart attack.

I also had a TAVR procedure done in November.
