72 hours, 34 minutes and counting

Started Thursday night and now might as well wait till tomorrow to break my fast. First one I've done since December last year. Did a 62 hour and later I did a 38 hour. I felt like I needed one now to reset as I have slipped off the wagon face first. And I had a four day weekend to get matters in order.

I might would break it now, except I want to see what this Fasting app does when I get to the end.

Right now I says I'm in Optimal Autophagy. I didn't know there was anything past normal autophagy until I started using this app.

As of now it says,

Fat Burn: 56:37:26

Ketosis: 52:37:26

Autophagy: 48:37:26

Sposta be hours and minutes.

Anyhow, I feel pretty good. Done some exercises off an on. Drank water mostly and a couple cups of coffee a day. A lick of salt in the evenings when my belly says it's time to eat. Some Mag and Potassium.

I've done a four day fast one other time, years ago. It was Hot and I was under the weather. I wasn't doing it on purpose. Looking back, I spose I could have dehydrated some.

I doubt I catch up to you Scott. But really, 96 hours doesn't seem that far off. 🙂

Nice work. I probably fast a bit too much, I'm guessing anyway. I usually land somewhere between 72 and 96 hours. I have read around 96 hours starts some points of diminishing returns. But then others

I have done it a number of times now and I am still amazed. I mean, pretty much all of us were programmed from an early age we had to eat three times per day and the food fueled our bodies, etc. etc.

Had my first bite at 85 hours, 57 minutes. I'm just gonna call it 86 hours. Maybe it won't take me as much to feel full for awhile. Scale said I lost 6 pounds. But then if you pee a gallon, that's 8

I usually land somewhere between 72 and 96 hours. I have read around 96 hours starts some points of diminishing returns. But then others say not so much.

The autophagy and ketosis and human growth hormones and stem cells are all fine and good, and dropping a few pounds is good too, but mostly now I do it because of the way it makes me feel.

From 24 hours on, (did one 7 day fast) I really feel good. I have energy, I am not hungry and everything about it feels positive.

The 'feel good' is the biggest reason I do a couple a month.

Good luck with yours. I need to check out the APP because I am just wining mine. LOL

Scale said I lost 6 pounds. But then if you pee a gallon, that's 8 pounds. I know I drank alot.

I was discussing this ordeal with a younger friend and said, I think it's funny I can go without food longer than you can go without beer. 😆

I have done it a number of times now and I am still amazed. I mean, pretty much all of us were programmed from an early age we had to eat three times per day and the food fueled our bodies, etc. etc. 3-4 days in and I have a ton of energy and zero hunger. Still leaves going, HUH? at times.

This last five I actually came off of it without getting really loose. I felt like I tried every combination but it was all the same. As of late I just sort of gave up on 'breaking the fast the right way'. I just ate some bacon and eggs, which I had tried before, but this time all went as normal. Maybe it took me ever how many to adapt, not sure.

Congrats on the 86. Nice work.

Way to go @ol_hilly - that's impressive. The longest I've gone is 40 hours.

I've recently returned to 2 meals a day, intermittent fasting. I started losing weight for some reason so I though I'd take advantage of it and ride the wave, lol.

I saw a TikTok earlier of a guy who went 120 days. He was 400 lbs and dropped about 150 of it. He was just having water, vitamins, and minerals.

I have done 7 and felt like I could have continued.

I have been reading a lot about the advantages and disadvantages of going past the 96 hour mark.

Sometimes the answer is in 'which one you believe the most' as it feels like it is a split amongst the 'experts'.
