I have a question. I've been doing carnivore for about a week and a half and I've lost about 9 pounds, which is great. I'm 48 and likely in perimenopause. I saw an article recently saying carnivore isn't good for women in menopause ... I'm wondering because I've been really fatigued the past few days. Thoughts?

Thanks for this, Geoff! That's a great video!  If you happen to know any women in this group in my similar situation please send them to comment here! I'd love to hear some personal experiences.  Also, I'm curious if my fatigue is normal and may go away. 😃

Fatigue can be normal early on in carnivore as your body is adapting from burning glucose for energy and fat for energy.
If it continues on I would look at my fat intake, might need more, and my electrolytes, may need to start taking them.

I am right here with you! 50. I have been carnivore with exception of Easter since mid February. I find that fatigue is cycling with the hormones. I am still regular each month. A good resource for woman is Dr Elizabeth Bright.

I just want to second what @Geezy said. Your early on in the transition period. After using up all your glucose/glycogen reserves, your body has to make the switch to burning fat/ketones for energy. In the beginning, it still preferentially looking for glucose. In time, about 3-6 weeks of high fat keto or carnivore, you become fat adapted, and your body will preferentially run on fat and ketones. 

A high protein, low fat approach will prevent and prolong adaptation, so make sure you are eating fatty meat, fatty fish, and using butter, ghee, or tallow. If you are eating carnivore but still have the mindset that you should avoid fat and eat lean meats, you will struggle more.
