Next meeting with doc will be exiting. Doc is okay but very anti-fat. I know he will say I´m killing myself. Hoping he is wrong.

My doctor is the same but what’s funny is my cardiologist loves what I’m doing and what the diet has done for me.

I'm debating on my approach. Do I lead off with I didn't use the medicine and through diet and more intense exercise my LDL improved? and see where he lands on my approach. Or, do I go thru the motions allowing him to think the prescription is improving some of my numbers?

I would be honest with him. We are the randomized control studies that prove this way of eating works. If your doctor thinks that his medication is helping you then he will assume the same thing for the next patient. If you are honest with him then he can monitor your results and see that this works and it just may convince him that this is a viable option to good health.

Sort of the same boat here. I just quit my statins,a heavy max dose for years.

My numbers will get high I know. I measure my sugar and ketones every couple of weeks but I do not intend to get a cholesterol measuring gadget. Adds stress only.

I rather have my legs and metabolism back than a low LDL number that does not correlate to my health in any way. And it won´t even get low enough,no matter what.

There is no cause and effect paper or any other evidence that saturated fat is killing us. I think this false assumption stems from the seed oils, etc.

Honesty, no doubts.

I just didn't know how to start off the conversation. LOL

Told my cardiologist to get fkd.

He was totally against carnivore, has his head up his ass saying it's inflammatory blah fkn blah.

Fk Dr's and the 'Healthcare system " it's a gimmick like big pharma and insurance of any kind.

If you're feeling better you don't need a dr to validate that.

3 months later my LDL dropped from the 180's to the 150's, about 35 points... I was worried they would skyrocket with the additional fatty meats and eggs. When the LDL dropped, I was pleasantly surprised, but equal to that was my confusion.

Have you been weight-stable for the last 3 months? Or if you are still losing weight, is it at a much slower pace?

There is LDL stored in adipose tissue (i.e. fat) that gets released into the blood stream when you lose weight, causing a spike. Eventually it gets cleared out and your numbers go back down. I initially had LDL around 92. Went I started losing weight on carnivore, it spiked to the upper 300's. Now they sit comfortably at 208 according to the last draw.

Correct. Ancel Keys. Sugar and grain lobbyists. Pointing the finger at saturated fat and cholesterol.

Especially in regard to lipids.

I had a Doctor appointment today. He ordered up a BMP just so we can see if my kidneys function is improving having gone off the prescription he had me on that was killing me. When I said I wasn't fasting he said he wasn't ordering a lipid panel but he could if I wanted him too. I simply said "Honestly, I could care less about my lipid markers" lol.

Needs to be a bumper sticker.
