Why would God give Adam dominion over a fish or any other creature for that matter if he was only expected to tend a garden?

This is an interesting talking point. How else does one "hold dominion" over a sea creature outside of fileting it with a little lemon and a little salt? 😄

in Leviticus 17:12 God restates to Isreal "dont eat bloody meat"    He could have been telling Noah, don't be like the others you knew who ate bloody meat.

This would be in harmony with my point B in this post here. The noteworthy instruction being that from henceforth blood must be treated as sacred, because it would be used for symbolic and redemptive purposes moving forward.

I will stress again that I affiliate with those who believe that man did not eat meat before the flood. I actually don't know. But at the same time these questions or speculations are not salvation issues. They really have no bearing on one's faith.

No. Predestination in that sense is unscriptural.

Not arguing ☮️     Job 14:5, Psalm 139:16

Myself I don't see being healthy as increasing my days, but increasing my joy in the days given me. But that's just me.

Psalm 139:16

I guess most believe being healthy can extend ones life, for me being healthy can increase the joy in the days I've been given.

It can even be both.

It may or may not.
I know I certainly feel like I will live longer just because I feel so much better than I did over 650 days ago.
I think being metabolically healthier can extend your life just as being metabolically sick can end it early. We see that in today’s society all of the time. It has been said that man has the genetic disposition to live 120 years yet none of us do. Why not? Well maybe it’s because we eat foods that wreak havoc on our metabolism. But in reality none of us can know for sure because we can’t live our lives twice to test the theory. I do agree that feeling better in our end days is a great plus.

Well except God was talking to Moses well after the flood.

Not arguing ☮️     Job 14:5, Psalm 139:16

"If his days are decided, The number of his months is with you; You have set a limit for him that he may not go beyond." - Job 14:5

The context shows that Job is talking about mankind in general.

Man, born of woman, is short-lived and filled with trouble." - Job 14:1

"Man also lies down and does not get up until heaven is no more, they will not wake up" - Job 14:12

"If a man dies, can he live again?" - Job 14:14

Such statements have to be balanced with other scriptures that clearly indicate that individual predestination is not a thing, such as...

“time and unexpected events overtake them all.” - Ecclesiastes 9:11

“I take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the curse; and you must choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants,” - Deuteronomy 30:19

That latter verse is actually God Himself speaking. It wouldn't be much of a "choice" between life or death if he already determined their course of action.

“Your eyes even saw me as an embryo. All its parts were written in your book regarding the days when they were formed, before any of them existed.” - Psalm 139:16

The creator knew you upon the moment of your conception. This verse is why many of us value the life of an unborn child, because it's clear that God certainly does. From that moment, he would be capable of reading your DNA knowing exactly how you would turn out physically.
