Thank you, I have no plans to go back to doctor anytime soon

I mean, talking to your MD and opening the topic about the the new researches regarding the phenotype LMHR, would allow her to dive deeper into the topic and improve her game for the next patient. Plus, I dunno where you live, but if you live in any European country, in this case you have the right to get an MRA and CTA and overall it ain't such a bad idea to give a free look at how your arteries are doing. As Geezy said, your results seems just fine, therefore if you unluckily live in a country where you gotta sell your first born to pay for a medical exam, given your params I would consider to spend those money on a very fine Steak and forget about the MD😂

My actual doctor, this is not the first time, I wait probably over a month for my appointment then it gets cancelled because he is out for some reason, so I ended up getting the appointment with Dr. Amin who is a new doctor doesn't have many patients.

Last time I saw my doctor I was eating carbs my main diet, I was really dragging after a meal, I did not want to work or do anything after eating, his response was to increase a medication I take for depression, he wasn't too concerned about finding out the real reason I was feeling that way.

Thanks for the info, I need some improvement on the foods I eat, but overall I'm not doing to bad, I am not going back to doctor for some time, I don't really have a reason to

My mom is on a statin, and suffering from dementia, I rather die then have my doctor put me to take them pills

And there you have one of the many side effects of taking a statin. Can we say definitively that the stain caused her dementia…not really but there are numerous studies that suggest that there is a strong correlation.

Hello, on carnivore 4th month, just got some bloodwork and it’s what I expected, but the doctor doesn’t seem  ok with it.

LDL means very little. Slowly but surely doctors are moving away from depending on LDL levels as a precursor for heart disease. There is zero evidence, at all, anywhere, that suggests that LDL is causing heart disease. The LDL was a scam to sell medicine. Your numbers look good overall.

A pill for every ill. Those are the answers you get from a doctor. No mention about diet and lifestyle.

Just to update, I've cut back to just steak, Richmond's salt and tallow. Had this three times today and have drank around 3 litres of water.

And yet the chest palpitations and anxiety are still there.

I want to push through but is that wise?

"Heart palpitations, flutters, or an increase in stroke volume on carnivore are common during the transition period. Like most other side effects, heart palpitations are a result of low electrolytes.

All versions of high-fat low-carb diets cause insulin levels to drop, triggering the kidneys to excrete more sodium. Low sodium disrupts levels of magnesium and potassium."

No problem. Together we'll figure this out. This is a good place to do so.

    • "Marching into March with Much Motivation"

For this months challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to get up and move. Spring is in the air. The weather is getting better. Get out there and MOVE! Go for walks, hike some trails if they aren't too muddy. Or just make a goal to get on the treadmill or lift some weights more than usual throughout the month. Get in the habit now, and we just might have beach bodies when summer officially hits, lol.

Just like before, we encourage you to check in daily, and share what you have eaten, perhaps a weigh-in if you're willing, and enjoy in some small talk.

The March drawing will be for a 4-pack of Carnivore Bars!

Every Reply in this topic will count as an entry for this month's prize drawing. Back-to-back posts count as 1 entry as a counter to spamming.

Attending Monday night zoom also counts as a bonus entry. Being a supporter of our YouTube channel also gives you an entry.

    • Today is February 1st and marks the first day of "National Fasting February" - and yes, this is a thing. Google it!

For this month's challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to practice various forms of fasting throughout the month. The type of fasting you wish to do is entirely up to you. We are going to encourage INTERMITTENT FASTING, that is to put it simply, skipping a meal so that you are only eating 2 meals a day instead of the traditional 3 meals a day. The goal is to enjoy these meals within an 8 hour "feasting window" and then no food in the remaining 16 hours "fasting window" (in which 8 of those hours you should be sleeping).

An example is waking up at 7am, but waiting until 11am-noon for your first meal, and then having dinner at 6-7pm for your 2nd meal. Other people prefer to eat a breakfast, then a mid-day lunch, and skip dinner.

If you want to throw in a 24, 48, or 72 hour fast just to show off by all mean do so, lol.
