2024 Solar Eclipse

I was in the path of totality this year, and watched it from my own back yard. Here's some pics that I was able to grab with my mobile phone.

Yeah me too. Twice for me now I was lucky enough to witness something as awe-inspiring as a total eclipse of the sun. Last time was in Europe back in '99.

This was a first total eclipse for me. I've seen a few partial ones. The last one was in 2017, partially eclipsed and not that impressive. This total eclipse on the other hand was next level for sure.

We were just a little too far west for the totality. I carried a lens from my welding helmet with my while I was cutting pastures today and I’d look up at it once in a while. It was neat to see.

Totally was at the north of us. It happened just as school was getting out. I drive a school bus and only had 3 students as the rest were dismissed earlier so they could witness it. The dim light was neat.
