Swelling on Carnivore/Keto?
Geezy replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Oh I get it now, sorry for the confusion. Absolutely you can experience less swelling. That is one of the biggest things that carnivore is noted for is reduced inflammation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
When I steam clean mine I make sure the tap water is as hot as it will get before I put the hot pan under it. It works really well. I never use seed oils. Don’t even have them in my house but for long term storage I do use avocado oil but in my daily use pan I use a very thin coat of tallow or bacon grease. It won’t go rancid in a day or at least it hasn’t so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Try it. I’m not one for trying to force things but if you feel your not where you should be then give it a shot. Be your N of 1. Have you looked into different types of fasting or reviewing your diet to see if you need to change anything? These things can also make a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

5 Days in on Carnivore Diet with Prior Major Health issues
Geezy replied to Tdyer07's topic in Greetings and Introductions
Welcome to the group Tdyer07. Wow! You are dealing with a lot and my prayers go out to you. By going carnivore you are doing the best thing to help your body fight the cancer. Having a metabolically heathy body is the strongest way to fight any disease. Eliminating all carbs and sugars helps to starve cancer as it feeds on glucose. Carnivore will also help reduce the inflammation you are dealing with. As far as Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Welcome aboard Shawn. You are definitely on the right track. I’ve got a long list inflammatory issues that have been alleviated because of carnivore. So much so that I will never eat the SAD again. 490 days ago I was a 66 year old man who felt like he was 86 but today I’m a 68 year old man who feels like he’s 48. The transformation has been nothing short of miraculous. I hope you experience the joy I’ve experienced eating this way. I believe that you can if you really want to. Good luck and good health. 5 week check in
Geezy replied to Bossman150's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Your body is probably still adapting to burning ketones for energy rather than glucose. It can take several months for the transition to complete. I’ve heard of some cases take 4 months but those are rare. You can also look at your fat intake. Since you now get your fuel from fat you need plenty of it. Mineral deficiency’s, especially sodium, can also affect our energy. I miss my GSP. She was a great bird dog. I had her retrieving ducks at six months old and she loved to quail hunt. I sure could have used her on my last pheasant hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Introducing the American Diabetes Society [Diabetes Truth]

I saw when Dr. Berry announced this a couple of months ago and I’m excited to see some doctors who are finally being proactive in actually trying to cure their patients rather that just treat their symptoms. Dr. Baker is doing something similar with his health organization Revero. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Post a picture... Any picture
Geezy replied to Bob's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
Hunting season has started in Texas and it kicked off with dove season. It’s kind of a state holiday around here. [emoji1] Opening day was a little slow as it took me all day to get my limit of 15 but if I wasn’t such a bad shot it wouldn’t have taken so long. Lol! [emoji1787] Got rained out the second day but I’m going out hunting again Friday and Saturday so we’ll see if things pick up. I’ll also be chasing hogs while I’m out there as well so if the dove are scarce then maybe the hogs will be plentiful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Swelling on Carnivore/Keto?
Geezy replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Something I forgot to mention is that we are all different so you could very well be experiencing something that others haven’t because it’s unique to your physiology. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Sore muscles and tiredness
Geezy replied to Till's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Willkommen mein Freund Till. I have started back to lifting after being idle for a long time and I’m feeling pretty sore today myself. I’ve heard that many that train hard have a faster recovery when eating carnivore, I guess I’ll find out. As Bob said, you may be too new at this to be reaping the full benefits of it. I’ve been carnivore long enough that I am fully fat adapted and at my final weight so I should see the benefits or rapid recovery if there are any. We shall see. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Well there must be enough because my blood test show that I’m getting enough just from the meats I eat. The only way you will know for sure is to get a blood test and find out for sure if you really need to supplement. If you aren’t deficient in potassium and you supplement then it’s possible to overload your system and put yourself in danger of stopping your heart. Potassium can kill you if you get too much. Get your blood tested and know for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Swelling on Carnivore/Keto?
Geezy replied to Keith O's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Swelling as a result of carnivore is a new one on me. Most people report much faster healing when eating carnivore and being metabolically healthy. Quite often I come across someone who has something go out of wack they immediately want to blame it on carnivore when it may be something else entirely. I’m not saying that’s what your doing in the least but it is possible that what your experiencing has more to do with your surgery than your diet. Hopefully you aren’t experiencing an infection. You might need to take your concerns to your doctor and make sure there’s not something going on. Good luck my friend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

What Did You Eat Today?
Geezy replied to Geezy's topic in Carnivore, Ketovore, Keto, & Low-Carb Support
Been outa pocket lately between hunting and traveling. I was going to smoke some ribs today along with some steak and some bacon wrapped dove breast’s but it’s been raining all day so maybe tomorrow. So today I just had hamburger patties made with 2 pounds of venison burger, 1 pound of venison breakfast sausage and one pound of chopped up bacon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- 1,645 replies

red meat, water and salt?

You are finding out that eating ruminants are the best for optimal health. For some people that’s all they can eat. I’m fortunate though that I can eat pork and this is my favorite way to cook it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Geezy replied to mdunavant's topic in Greetings and Introductions
Congratulations on the progress. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Have you actually had a blood test to show that you have and vitamin and mineral deficiencies? If you haven’t then you don’t really know for sure what your needs are. I do not take any potassium supplements and yet my blood tests show that my potassium levels are perfectly normal. All I eat 98% of the time is animal fats, animal proteins, salt and water. So I must be getting my potassium from my meats and I think you can too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
