Bowel Movements
No. I sometimes don’t have a BM for 10-14 days. If you are eating zero carb then you have very little waste to move through your system. Get out of that old mindset that I have to take a dump everyday. That world is over. If you just aren’t experiencing an urge to go then there’s just nothing there. If on the other hand you are feeling like you have to go but you’re stopped up or you are trying to push gravel then you are constipated. In that case you could start taking a magnesium citrate supplement. That will soften your stool. You could take a laxative but i hate the chemical stuff. I have an herbal tea I keep on hand called Smooth Move. It work really well. I felt with true constipation for about a year on carnivore. I think it was due to the fact that I don’t have a gallbladder but it eventually worked itself out as my body adjusted.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
I can understand where someone can see it that way. I don’t agree with everything he says but when he states something as fact he can usually back up his claims. I personally think that Chaffee and Baker and some of the others can be a little wishy washy in what they say because they don’t want to offend some people. I appreciate his being resolute in his approach. I just have to go by my experience in following Dr. Barry’s advice because it’s been 95% spot on for me.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
Seriously? Dr. Barry is one of the most liberal people on the internet when it comes to carnivore. He is very understanding and not the least bit dogmatic. Even his wife is not carnivore. He’s definitely a live and let live kind of guy. The point he was trying to make is to simply eat what you can afford to eat and if that’s your only meat source then it’s better than the alternatives. You can’t get any less black and white than that , lol. If you can only afford to eat burger or mince then maybe you could get a meat grinder and make your own mince. That might be the cheapest way and you’d know exactly what’s in it.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
Not to worry. As Dr. Ken Barry says, eat what you can afford to eat as long as it’s meat. If all you can afford is hotdogs and lunchmeat it’s still better than highly processed junk and vegetables.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
Here we like to use blood trackers for finding game. This is my blood tracker. She loves her job. Has a very strong prey drive and one of the best noses I’ve seen.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
No doubt about it. As carnivores they are no different than us. I’ve seen a tremendous difference in my older dog, Great Dane and American Bulldog Cross. He’s 12 years old and was getting around pretty poorly until we put him on a meat and fat diet. Within 3 months he was moving around pain free and playing with the younger dogs.

Mushroom - beef soup
As much as I dislike the cold that looks beautiful.

Cast Iron Pan VS Stainless Steel Pan
It’s impossible to get away from it. All we can do is limit our exposure. I store most food in glass containers but the lids are plastic. I no longer use a plastic cutting board. I drink out of glass or metal containers as much as possible. When it comes to sou vide I think it’s become popular to use silicone bags.

Just like us, dogs need to eat a species specific diet.

"World Carnivore Month" January Challenge!
I haven’t but only because i haven’t had any issues with pork or chicken. My system is only sensitive to vegetables and sugar. Many people do have issues with the monogastrics and have to stay away from them. Skin issues can also be attributed to eggs or more specifically the egg whites do that may be something else to look at.

We call that bulletproof coffee I’ve here. It’s food stuff for coffee drinkers. I blend butter into my hot bone broth for my morning drink.

Carnivore without a gallbladder and Carnivore with a kidney cyst
I remember watching that awhile back. I haven’t had a gallbladder since 97.

Spam & Eggs AKA the Spamlet
🤣, yeah I still like it but I still want to avoid those hidden sugars. I still love ice cream but I won’t indulge.

Carnivore diet seems crazy, but…
That’s most people. Always taking the easy way out. I actually had a woman who’s autoimmune skin disease was so bad that she told me that she was glad she didn’t own a gun or she might have used it the night before. When I told her that a ketogenic/carnivore diet could heal her she took a drink of her soft drink and said “ Oh, I just couldn’t give up my hamburgers.” There’s just no helping some people.

Hair Loss? This May Be Why.
I feel pretty confident that Nick and his colleagues are not influenced by big food or big pharma. If you look at their studies you’ll see that they list no conflicts of interest and they are not funded by any companies. He also mentioned towards the end that there was more to research on this subject. Also, as I stated before, this is an issue that tends to crop up in women in the beginning of carnivore. I haven’t heard of any men having this issue.

Spam & Eggs AKA the Spamlet
Yes it’s not ideal but as Dr. Barry says, it’s still better than eating a bunch of carbs. Eat what you can afford to eat. I used to love fried spam and eggs.
