  1. Very good and should be required watching for anyone thinking about starting a keto/carnivore lifestyle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Yes there is a difference. Grain finished is going to have more marbling and as such will have a better taste. But to get down to the nutrients the grass finished is healthier. The difference in nutrition is not so much as to put yourself in a financial strain to buy the grass finished unless you have specific issues eating grain finished. The cattle and sheep that I raise for food is all grass finished but that’s my preference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You did fry that boloney…right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I visit every day. I use Tapatalk because I find it easier to navigate but I keep the website pulled up on DuckDuck Go. But as you know I don’t own a computer, just my phone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome Megan, you’ve got a great support group here. Having an addiction to carbs is just like any other addiction. You have to be determined to beat it. You have to be stronger than the addiction. Just like an alcoholic or drug addict you have to fight it one day at a time. Start with today. Stay clean for just today. You will feel so victorious when the day ends and you go to bed. When the new day starts then you start all over again and just get through that day. You do this every day anew and before you know it your addiction is gone. The physical addiction is easy to beat but the mental addiction is the tough one because it lasts longer than the physical. So to beat that you have to have a strong mental game. I new to adopt the mindset that you cannot fail. No matter what, you will not fail. You can do this girl and we’re here to support you any way we can. Good luck and stay strong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yes, inches don’t always coincide with weight loss. Every stall I encountered I still lost inches. I’ve only done one fast and it was only because I just didn’t feel like eating. I’ve got to admit it felt great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We used to do that and still do to some extent but lately my wife has been on a kick of naming them after movie characters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just venison burgers and eggs today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. They are and they are fixin to pay the price for stealing the deer’s corn. I’ll be guiding a father and daughter hunt next week for those hogs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Well you certainly are the first and you won’t be the last. It happens to many of us. Now forget the mistake but remember the lesson. When the temptation arises try to remember how bad you felt when you cheated and how great you feel when you’re eating right. I equate this to my tobacco addiction. After a 35 year addiction I’ve been clean for 18 years now. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if I ever touch tobacco I’ll be hooked again and will probably never get off of it again. I can’t take that chance. I look at my carb addiction the exact same way. If I eat that way again I’ll be hooked for life. I worked hard to get rid of this addiction and I don’t ever want to go back to that glutinous lifestyle that was killing me again. I am determined to not fail. So stay in that mindset that you will not fail. Resist the cravings and fight them by eating fat. Cure your addiction so that you are in control and not it. This is a lifestyle that gives back health and life. You are in it for the long run so be strong and determined. You can do this. Now go light the fire, burn the beast and be happy. 12. Well Bob you inspired me so carnivore nachos it was today. Chopped up a bacon infused venison burger and used extra sharp cheddar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I hear you. It’s time to move on. Knock the dust from your sandals as you leave. He and many other closed minded doctors are the reason for this health epidemic we have in our country but you already know that. I hope you find a new doctor that’s as understanding as my cardiologist. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Congratulations on your progress. You are one the right path to success. Make sure your getting enough fat because when you run out of glycogen stores you’ll be needing that fat for energy. Keep up the good work, you’re doing great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Introduce him to Dr. Phil Ovadia, noted heart surgeon/cardiologist who would definitely disagree with your doctor. He also has a book out called Stay Off My Operating Table. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I like them when they get chewy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I believe they were using it to treat epilepsy back in the early 1900’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Back in the early 90’s I went Adkins and was very successful on it but in the beginning my wife, who was caught up in the modern nutrition, was adamantly against me doing it. I was adamant that I was going to do it with or without her. After about six months she saw the improvements in me and decided this wasn’t so bad after all. Well that lasted about 10 years or so but I finally stopped and went back to my old ways and got fat again. When I stated carnivore on May 9th 2023 she had no qualms about it. She knew I had done my research and trusted my judgment and supported me all the way. She doesn’t eat 100% like I do but she’s more keto now. So you need to do what’s best for you. This is your life and your body. Educate her on the science and testimonies of carnivore to help ease her worries. Maybe it will help. Either way though I wouldn’t allow my wife to stop me from improving my health. Good luck man. I hope you can turn her around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Welcome aboard ibo. Glad you found us. Everyone gn has been spot on with their advice so I have nothing to add there. As far as artificial sweeteners it’s an individual thing. Some people can tolerate things like that and can moderate them but for me I have to constantly abstain or it will cause cravings in me. As a carb addict I have to stay away from anything sweet. I even have to be careful of dairy because of its sweetness. You asked about hotdogs. When it comes to processed meats you need to read the ingredients labels and try to find the cleanest you can. Many have sugars and grain fillers in them. Now if it’s all a person can afford then it’s still a thousand times better that any carbohydrate you could eat. I personally don’t eat them but if I was on the road and needed something to eat and all there was available was hotdogs I wouldn’t hesitate to chow down on some and be thankful to have them. Good luck and good health. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. In the beginning my issue was not constipation but just the opposite but after thirty days it turned into constipation. When I felt it coming on I’d use a suppository. If it was going to be really bad I’d use an herbal laxative tea. I found that to be more proactive taking a supplement of magnesium citrate kept me soft but I wasn’t pleased with the results so I found a magnesium complex that had citrate in it but the other ingredients helped to keep things more normal. My system is slowly becoming normal I think because I’m staring to get looser so I’m cutting back on the magnesium to every other day and see what happens. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sometimes stalks just happen for no other reason than your body just does it. Maybe it’s the body making adjustments. Many people do find that when the stall it’s due to dairy. I had numerous stalls and I my last one lifted after my cardiologist took me completely off of my last medication. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Fried the catfish I caught the other day and smoked the tenderloin from the hog I shot last week. Ate done if that pork loin with some eggs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
