I hear on here of so many of you having no trouble eating a 16oz steak.  Right now, I don't feel I could force myself to eat 1/3 of that steak.

I am concerned because as the days are going by, I am finding it very hard to eat much food.  Last night I cooked a 9oz hamburger patty and the last 2oz were very difficult for me to get down.  This morning, I cooked a 1/4 lb of breakfast sausage and added three eggs.  I am half way finished with the plate and I am stuffed and every bit is becoming more and more repulsive.

What gives?

Am I supposed to survive on 700-800 calories of Carnivore a day?

This is Day #10, should I assume my body is still adjusting and this decreased appetite is simply part of the transition?

Decreased appetite is somewhat normal. The biggest part is that the foods on carnivore are much more satiating. It is really easy to get full on a much lesser amount.

Looking back I find it hard to believe the amounts I ate once upon a time.

As of late, I have been trying to hit a protein amount for muscle growth and that amount of protein is more food that I really feel like eating.

I have to force myself to finish at times.

You are satiated, I would say.

A loss of appetite is common. Part of it is because protein and fat are more satiating. The other part is psychological. On your previous standard American junk diet, you may have been used to eating/snacking/grazing mindlessly throughout the day. Now your satisified and part of what you are noticing is the contrast from before and now.

If you are very overweight, you are also carrying around a big vat of tallow around your gut. Your body taps into these reserves. For this reason, it's easier for someone who has a lot of weight to lose to go 2MAD or OMAD early in their health journey. Then as that fat gets dissolved and used up, the appetite returns.

The longest fast on record is something like 382 days, so you won't die, lol 😄

This. When I hit my "Perfect" weight, boom, eating like normal. But I had days and 1000 calories were enough. But calories are bullshit when on carnivore, because on a SAD you really count your carbs, rather than calories.

How often are you eating?
Most carnivores end up eating just once or twice a day because we only eat when we are hungry.
These days there is no way I could eat by the clock again. I’d have to force myself to eat.
As Bob said you are satiated. That’s a good thing because it tells me you are eating right.
The other thing is and I’m just guessing here is that it could be that you are burning up fat stores more than burning off what you are you’re eating and so your hunger signals are being suppressed. When our bodies are running off of ketones we just don’t get hungry like we used to. When we ate carbs all of the time we could never get completely satisfied and had to eat every couple of hours but now we can go much longer and even when we do get hungry it’s just not as intense.
