Hello,

I’m Cathy, 64, and the organs in my core are fused together with adhesions. There. Got that out of the way. That means that any carbs I eat (plant based foods) ferment in my gut and break down my immune system bc my organs don’t churn or burn like they’re supposed to. That means my diet is as hard core as Mikhaila’s. Cheating is devastatingly painful.

Anybody else here eating just meat and eggs?

  • Great story. Congrats on the victory. Big picture for me, it is just crazy to me at times how with all the advances in modern medicine we find the answer in a ribeye. Scott

  • Hi Cathy, I'm a dirty carnivore. I haven't had any major health problems, but now understand where all those tummy aches were coming from. I occasionally eat some broccoli, pickles and nuts. Lately I

So very true. Modern medicine has saved my life on numerous occasions. It has also tried to kill me. Then there are the times when it’s just kept me on the hook.

As I learn more and more, this statement is incredibly accurate.

I feel like the medicines saved me and I also feel like they kept me going. I am not sure if they did any harm, maybe, maybe not. I do believe 'keeping me going' and 'on the hook' are really similar.

With all that, I am really appreciative of where I am today.

Thank you for your post. It affirms that what I’m doing is the absolutely right thing for me to do. I see the Keto people and the “dirty carnivore” people and think, “they’re so lucky!” And that makes my WOE seem like a negative thing, when in fact no, for me, it’s the very best thing I can do. And saying, “well, it’s an individual thing” is used as a cop out even though it’s also true! I often hear it said by those who want to continue to eat their SAD foods and go on their merry ways. I have to filter that comment, in my head,” and tell myself, “no, diet really IS an individual thing.” Even though that concept is abused, it’s still true.

I feel my best when I do several days in a row of Beef, Salt and water. I should eat that way, everyday. I'm not even sure why I don't 😄

The same.

If I were single or if we cooked separate meals I would go straight red meats. I can actually feel a difference the few times I did red meats for a week to ten days.

My wife does a ton to support my carnivore eating so mixing in chicken and fish here and there is a pretty good trade-off.

I didn't know about carnivore in 2018 so I was thankful that the medicines kept me around

Kept you around to take more drugs, to fill the coffers of the drug dealers. And you were grateful to do so.

You were poisoned, then saved, and you were thankful. They gave you poison to treat the first poison. What they never did was educate about the first poison, offer a cure, they stood by and took your money. They probably had a good laugh to the bank.

We've been had, fool us once.... we've been had my friend.

Science field seems to use humiliation tactics, they all just pile on and call the person a fraud and try to ruin there reputation. Like what they tried to do to Baker and Noakes or Galileo.

I believe this to be true. The bullying tactics are even applied to the patients.

It's a protection racket. A Sopranos episode.

I do most of our cooking so my wife follows along with what I'm having around 95% of the time. Sometimes she'll just whip up a chaffle and do her own thing, which is great for me because I will then sometimes just fast for the day or go a completely go a different direction (pan fried Spam and eggs is one example). Once you understand your body and how it responds on carnivore you then make your own modifications and get on with life. No veg for either one of us, a few oranges or strawberries we do eat yet but not everyday and usually only in season. For myself a Lion diet is still probably the best way of living.

I have been taking Copaxone for my MS for several years and just last week told my Neurologist to NOT refill the yearly scrip for it. She had no problem with me making that decision and just suggested I taper off the remaining doses I have left. You can just quit Copaxone "cold turkey" because it's not a biologic or hard core therapy but she suggested it as being the best for my body. Copaxone is only effective in about 30% of MS cases and after age 65-70 it's not very effective for most of the people that use it. I had never felt any different or noticed any effect from using it, and it costs over $25,000 a year! Great deal, eh! 😂. I'll turn that $25K into meat and be much happier for it! The medical and drug business is not curing people. They just keep their customer base alive to generate income.

Do your own research and be your own doctor for most things, anyways. When I broke my femur, well there I needed lots of help from several doctors 🤣

A man without medicine is a rich man.

Just go back about 200 years or so and the term "Doctor" really was just a slightly more educated person than you were at the time. Now go back 1000 years and there is virtually no difference in education. I'm thinking Witchdoctors and things like that. now go back 10,000 years when we were all the same as far as life education goes. NO doctors and everyone survived quite well with very little disease just by eating mostly meat. Modern doctors are useless for improving anyone's health using nutrition. They will gladly throw a boatload of chemicals at you though! When I told my Nuero that I was stopping my MS drug she was okay with that but she did ask if I thought anymore about trying Ampyra which is supposed to improve walking ability. I said No Thanks, I'm good to go! I'll use daily bovine consumption instead.

I go back in a couple weeks and I may be having that same conversation with the Rituxin. Since the onset in 2018 I can feel the difference between having the infusion, the next three months, and then the last two or so before the next one. The last month or so before the infusion I get a little run down, the fatigue sort of returns and I have been susceptible to most anything coming down the pipe. I was a frequent flyer during covid with and without positive tests.

The last time I didn't really didn't get the run down feeling the last month or so, (five months on carnivore) and this time I'm as energetic as all get out. I'm stacking night shifts like cord wood and going to the gym consistently. I can say I have not felt better in a really long time, and especially since being diagnosed is 2018. Tomorrow is one year.

My last blood work suggests I am on the cusps of having a normal immune system. If it tracks accordingly the next test should be "in the green".

I get that there is a lot of negativity toward the state/approach of the current medical system and I understand the profit taking precedence over overall health. Nothing hard to understand there. But at the same time, I am both thankful and appreciative for the treatments I received. Good or bad, it got me to a point where I was still kicking to make a better decision.

The alternative would not have ended well.

Scott
