Health & Nutrition Are NOT What I Thought – 10 Truth Bombs that Changed My Life

This is a more recent video. I watched one with this lady some months back and it was one of my first hints that carnivore was more than a weight loss hack.

In her earlier videos I found her symptoms and issues were nearly identical to mine and for a stretch I doubted her story. It took a few eeks to figure some thigs out but soon after, she was spot on.

I probably owe her an apology. LOL

The way of eating has done wonders for me. I'm sold for that alone. Scott

I'm listening to it right now.

I have a friend who suffers terribly from MS. I'd like him to try carnivore. Testimonials like hers prove that it's worth a try.

I used to follow her but stopped because I felt she became quite wishy-washy with her early videos. I will check her out again tonight and see where she is at on her journey lately. Maybe time to resubscribe to her channel? hopefully she's not gone on to selling "A health program", AG-1 or LMNT. I hate when influencers go that route. The lure of the dollars sucks them in.

I clicked on her a while back but I never finished any of her videos. Too flaky. Some of these content creators talk too much and don't edit enough. Like I really love Kent carnivore, but the video I watched today, was good but he repeated himself so many times. I think it's hard because they have to meet parameters such as length and perhaps they only have one central point for that video, so they have to stretch it out. Then on the other hand some people I can just listen to go on and on like say Kelly Hogan or that Goeke kid.

Flaky is the word I was looking for. You nailed it with that comment. I enjoy Kelly hogans videos myself. First time I heard her I wasn't sure what to think and then really got into her delivery. Lately I've been following Emma Voysey.

I like this 'style' of video. I think flaky is most of the time authentic.

There is nothing wrong with a well edited, fact-filled video but that feels like they are reading from Q-cards.

Mostly I am watching for the jist of the video and secondly, I especially like the ones that don't try sell me something, or stop mid-sentence to ask me to click down below.

I may have some attention deficit issues because I quickly lose interest when it jumps off topic.

I've found that with my case of MS I can only do one thing at a time now. Never used to be like that. If we are out walking and my wife says something it's best for me to stop and then we talk otherwise I'm "going down" tripping on my own feet. when we walk on trails I have to concentrate on the ground and NOT the scenery. It kind of sucks but I'm still able to get out and walk around. Just did 3 miles yesterday, Which I haven't walked that far in about 1 1/2 years. 3 years ago I could still do 10 mile walks. I was always told that these would be my golden years. My gold is a little tarnished 🤣

I have found as of late I skip around vs. sticking to a task, competing it and then moving on. I was off this week and had big plans. One was getting the cab set on my 50 model truck for the next to the last time and the other was to get the gas tank back in my Blazer. Each time I was interrupted by anything from a phone call, to both my Mom and my buddy having car trouble, I would come back and start on the Blazer if I had been on the 50 model truck. And vice-versa.

I'm not sure if it is NMO/SD related or not. Sometimes I think it is somewhat related to the energy I have from carnivore and fasting. For years I didn't have enough energy to fill what free time I had and now I have way more energy than I do free time. It is like I'm now trying to get all done at once.

My wife says it is because they stamped my birth certificate "MALE".

Who knows?

I'm trying to get another fast done but all this meat keeps getting the way. I need to stop going to the meat market for a while😂. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I get there.

Having extra energy is wonderful. A good night's sleep helps me a lot. Was up today at 5:22am (VERY early for me) due to a killer charley horse. I need to up my magnesium. That usually helps a lot. As long as I was up I started all the lawn work before the weekend starts and we got it all done. So now we can relax the next few days.

I do the same. I find a sale and buy up some meats and then it sort of 'not makes sense' to have it and not eat it. What has happened as of late is I am working a lot of OT and sometimes it is unexpected OT/last minute type stuff. If I am planning a meal then fasting, work interrupts my plan and that meal is still there the day after the OT, so the fast gets put off.

I am planning another later this week when I go back on nights. Somewhere between 72 and 96 hours. I am reading a lot about going longer than 96 but for some things it gets into the point of diminishing returns. Still debating.

I'm still trying to find what I feel works best for me. Right now I am leaning toward the 72-96 hour fast about once per month.

But somehow my plans seldom come together.

I have this problem with meat getting in the way of fasting too. I want to fast, but I can't let the food in the fridge go bad, then by the time I finish that I forget and thaw or buy more .. speaking of which, I need to grab some chicken out of the freezer or my family won't have dinner tomorrow.

Other than the working part your life sounds a lot like mine. I will be doing a 100 hour "Century Fast" ASAP, just to say I did it (and blow people's minds😆). From what I've read also it seems like the influencers kind of agree that the sweet spot is 36-48 hours for general overall health gains, But with MS would going longer be better? Only one way to tell I guess.

My wife and I were just sitting out in the sun this afternoon talking about what is all in the fridge to be finished up before I cook some more. Our local Menards has a good brat sale this week which i would like to get in on, BUT the freezer is full. I would bet I will buy some there tomorrow as we will be in town anyways 😆. WTH, they won't go to waste!
