I am new to this group and just learning my way around, so thanks to everyone. There's lots of helpful information. What I was wondering about concerning brain function was that recently I am experiencing what I can only describe as beautiful bouts of joy and happiness. Im thinking my neurotransmitters are firing better. Anyone else experienced this?

Without a doubt my happiness level has greatly increased with this WOE. 4 years ago right after we retired from our working career I got in a bad slump, that along with a few body aches which my mind turned into something major using Dr. Google. made for a bad life with thoughts of dyeing in the not too distant future. Well 4+ years later and things are going great right now. I had posted yesterday that for myself I really noticed big changes just this last year. So it took a little longer for me than others but it is worth every bit of it.

Try some extended fasting for several days if you are into that. For myself days 2 and 3 are like somebody put fresh batteries in your brain with whole body energy also.

Personally, I haven't found any of that via the carnivore approach. The closest I have found is that when I wake up, I am awake and ready to go. No dragging out of bed, or dreading the day. I wake up and hit the ground running, clear headed wishing the rest of the world got started with me at 4AM.

Many people report improved clarity and cognitive function on carnivore as well as enhanced mood and reversal of depression.

I can’t really say that I’ve experienced any of that but I have noticed a calming effect. In my past I’ve been a very volatile person and while age has settled me down some, carnivore seems to have taken me to a different level.
