Patience is key

I'm 5'8, 31, and have been trying to lose weight for over four years. Within those four years there have been two pregnancies. My husband lost over 70 lbs on carnivore. I lost 30 but didn't experience full ketosis due to the psyche meds I was on at the time. Now that the dose is lower, I finally have experienced ketosis and feel amazing.

I have had to be very patient. My goal weight is 150 and Im currently at 200lbs. So far this time starting May 1st, my weight is fluctuating a lot as I increase exercise and my appetite is going down. Im trying to no longer weigh every day but I allow two weigh ins a week now.

This thread is just to encourage myself and maybe others that all good things take time and for me its taking a long time but thats okay.

I consider my diet high fat carnivore. The more fat, the better I feel.

Ill also use this thread to record my progress.

  • Yes, you can still post on this forum. I am not strictly carnivore, either. I am more 'meat centric'.

Congrats. End of the day is your health and happiness. Probably a thousand routes to get there with getting there being the goal. Scott

Congrats on your progress. I did the same thing. This can be like an 'interactive journal'. I actually enjoy reading other people's experiences. I have learned a ton when other people describe their c

194.8 lbs.

I've been walking an hour each day. It's really making a difference. Just focusing on getting to 190 rather than my actual target has helped me fight a lot of food temptations. There's a lot of stress going on right now but I'm not turning to food for comfort. Im very proud of that.

That's a perfect goal. Just think how close you are.

The same thing recently is happening with me. My weight decided to start dropping again. I've been 176-179 forever. Now I'm so close to getting into the 160's that I'm actually working towards it, lol.

I am not carnivore anymore. It was beginning to interact with my meds oddly. Im still losing weight. I gained three pounds going off carnivore and lost two of those again this week. I don't know if Im still allowed to post in this thread.

I still have beef tallow with my tea in the mornings. I still incorporate a lot of what I learned from carnivore. It just can't be called carnivore or keto.

You can still post in this topic all you want. Remember that we advocate a meat-based diet in this community. It does not have to be meat only. We see those who are doing ketovore, keto, animal-based, and even a whole-foods paleo influenced version of a meat-based diet as our brothers and sisters too.

I, too, occasionally eat fruits and vegetables.

My weight is slightly up but I knew it would be this week because of my monthly cycle. I think the hormone balance from going carnivore has done amazing things for me. Im way more positive and I have energy all day even during my cycle week.

Which benefits those around you too 🤣

I've heard of women who had suffered from painful iNsAnE cRaMpS every month report that the cramps subsided or became much less severe.
