Carnivore & Ketovore
A Carnivore Diet is eating only animal products, and is almost zero carb. Ketovore's are mostly carnivore but will still consume a few veggies, staying under 10 carbs per day.

Hello all, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on January 2023. I am in something called my honeymoon phase and have started an 80% fat/20% protein calories carnivore diet 5 days ago. I am only eating ground beef (20% fat). I heard someone say that type 1 diabetics have to worry more since they don't have some vitamins and must eat organ meats. I was wondering, could y'all be kind enough to point me to any resources you know of successful type 1 diabetes honeymoon period extending? And what protocols they followed? Honestly would be so so grateful. Please help me change my life!

During tonight's Zoom Meeting we were goofing around with Bing AI and Google's new AI called Bard. I asked Bing AI to do the following... "write a story about how the carnivore diet saved the world from chronic illnesses" And to my amusement this was the response... The year is 2030. The world is plagued by chronic illnesses such as diabetes, obesity, autoimmune diseases, and depression. The health care system is overwhelmed and ineffective. People are desperate for a solution. One day, a group of scientists announce a breakthrough discovery: they have found the ultimate diet for human health and longevity. They call it the carnivore diet. It consists…

While it is true that pork is often referred to as "the other white meat" - it is actually red meat. Also, while birds like duck and goose are poultry and considered "white" meat, because they are birds of flight, however, the breast meat is darker than chicken and turkey breast. Since chicken and turkey are usually less expensive and more readily available than other poultry - this poll is intended to be about the meat found in chickens and turkeys - however, there are options in the poll to allow for other poultry.

So if you are on true keto, Ketovore, or Carnivore diet, beef is probably your staple food, and steak is probably your preference. There are various degrees of steak doneness. Which one of these is the perfect steak for you?

I became a big boy once I hit drinking age in the mid-late 90's, and it was around that time that my next door neighbor gave me a book to read, called Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution. I read it from cover to cover in almost no time at all, because it was both easy to understand, and it the science made sense. I applied what I learned and lost weight with ease. If I recall correctly, I went from the low 200's down to just under 165, and for the first time in my life truly felt "skinny". I was a believer in low carb ever since. Unfortunately, I didn't stay on the fourth phase, "Atkins For Life", but instead became a yo-yo dieter in the years and decades since. I have been r…
