Negative feedback loop
Miranda replied to Miranda's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
I have given myself permission to eat ice cream at one particular shop that makes their own. I have nfi what they use for ingredients but, it's the best ice cream in the state IMO. My son and I have been nudging my husband to take us there for 2 weeks. We'll come to find out he doesn't want to take us because, he felt it was too expensive last summer and imagine how expensive it is this summer, yada, yada. So I ate my go to comfort food in disappointment. I really love I also think the flavored seltzer might be a driver of sweet cravings. I guess I will stick to club soda. -
Use it, or lose it, as they say.

I was able to sprint hard for most of the 100 meter. I had a ball cap on and tried not to slow up till I crossed the finish line. I wasn't able to do max intensity for the entire stretch but previously had to stop running before the finish line. I think the rest is important and I probably won't try again until next week. Coincidentally, I had been sucking on a piece of salt from Redmond's 20 minutes prior. I feel like that helped.

I can feel the brain fog lifting today! -
I hope this isn't required reading I heard a snippet from Bill Maher where he referred to colleges as @#$hole factories. They have changed so much since my brief sojourn there in the early 90's. I saw the writing on the wall in the early 2000's when I thought I would try some night classes. By 2017 I told my eldest that there was no way we were going to cosign on an extended stay at an adult year round "summer camp" we encouraged her to use her savings, that would easily pay for a trade school education. These "higher learning" institutions have become the new asylums. When I was in school they still explained critical thinking and taught us how to spot the difference between fact and sales pitches or in this case propaganda. Unfortunately a lot of people must have slept through that class. I have a hard time reading these articles because they are silly, stupid, and baseless, but are trying to pass themselves off as very important. I have also noticed in the past 15-20 years that what passes as good writing is often screed filled drek. Rant over.

Negative feedback loop
Miranda replied to Miranda's topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic Discussion
Well...I am out walking the track today and feeling like I regressed quite a bit. Just overall stiffness in my back. I was definitely more snappy at my family yesterday. Just like with alcohol the only remedy is time and patience and abstinence. -
I think art is great in the context of history. I regret not taking these classes because I felt I didn't have the inherent talents. I think good teachers can teach people to use the tools they have. I do believe art, music and sports help people be better learners even if they don't excel in these areas.

5 months on carnivore and need help

The ground beef could be contributing to the overflowing of your histamine bucket. I think the calcium citrate can help bind the oxalates. It also seems to slow down the transit time, a side effect of citrical is constipation. -

Congratulations on getting off your meds! Sometimes when I get ibs-d I take extra calcium...I read it in a forum somewhere along the line and it does help. Sorry to hear about the rash, I wonder if drinking more water would help? -
I have been eating non food items today. It wasn't really planned and mostly out of boredom. The farts are out of control right now. Lord have mercy. I am gonna fast longer tomorrow. I am going to make pizza for my family for dinner and I am going to have chuck eyes on the grill. Btw a yellow jacket is trying to build it's nest in our grill.

Yesterday I impulse purchased prepackaged "sweet Lebanese bologna" it looked like salami. It tastes like teriyaki jerky. I won't be getting it again two slices has 7 grams of carbs if that tells you anything. It is definitely feeding the sugar seeking lizard brain. The jello made with orange essence seltzer and vanilla is also contributing to some sugar seeking. I am going to have to save it for an occasional treat.- 1,443 replies

I ate some American cheese yesterday and paid for it...and am still paying for it. It's amazing when you eliminate something, your body is so glad that when you add it back it screams: no dummy! I had burger patties, steak and hard boiled eggs. Today I made jello with orange flavored seltzer and vanilla with electrolytes. I am excited to find out how it will be.- 1,443 replies

This week I sprinted on two different days. 2-3 times each day. I have also been looking for things to hang on so I can build up to a pull up.

Mayo was my favorite condiments. I loved it so much. I have tried to make it but it's just not the same. But now I know why I used get such horrible upset stomach at the summer BBQs as a kid. I always thought I was heat intolerant, turns out I was ODing on Mayo laden noodle and potato salad, oily potato chips and dips. -

@GeezyI get that we should do our own research. But I am not trying to make a living to explain to people why they should eat properly. The more I talk food science with people the more they tune out. I just don't have time to sit and read scientific literature and also tract down the money. I will leave that to someone else and trust the process that seems to be working in this n=1. I will focus my time on how to properly teach my 8 year old his multiplication tables and how to navigate this crazy world instead. I guess what angers me the most is that the "anointed" as Thomas Sowell calls them, are leading the masses down the primrose path without actually reading the science or having the ethics to recognize or care that the scientific process has been corrupted. -
