  1. A smoker is on my wishlist! I do have a cast iron pot with a lid, would that be better than the slow cooker or same. I am just wondering if it is worth the extra effort, as the slow cooker is more of a set it and forget it.
  2. Breakfast was leftover chuck with hamburger. I had to supplement the chuck because some carb eater filched meat out of my pot after stuffing their face with tacosπŸ™„ Lunch and dinner were more ground beef. No dairy or decaf. Just beef butter salt and water. I want to always cook my chuck roast in butter now. IDK how I ever lived without it. I am currently dry brining a brisket and have no clue what to do with it. I have a slow cooker, a grill, an oven, and a pressure cooker. I was thinking of using the same butter slow cooker method I did with the chuck. Any suggestions are welcome!

  7. @Geezy My aunt, (the perpetrator) in this incident, has hen pecked me about one thing or another, my whole life. So I guess I should've been more mentally prepared. I hadn't been at her house since well before the pandemic. To give you an idea as to her personality, she told my mom and dad in 2021, they wouldn't be allowed in her house without the jab.
  8. Facts. That is really discouraging about wanting low blood pressure. It's called a vital sign for a reason. Frankly mine has been drifting lower over the years as well as my temperature and I am concerned about my thyroid. So far my chart says "subclinical" hypothyroid. The days are gone when doctors were like detectives, studying clues putting the pieces together for our benefit. So sad.

  10. really, I always thought blood pressure was like body temperature, like humans don't get to determine what normal is the way they do with cholesterol.

  14. Thanks for your suggestions! I seem to have found the solution in the bulleted dots on the far right that indicate more stuff, I was able to adjust the activity to the last 365 days instead of the last 5 days.
  15. Is there a setting to be able to continue to scroll topics. I am trying to find a recent topic that I created to add to it but am having troubles finding it as the timeline seems to be limited.
  16. I want to 2nd the idea of getting rid of the sweet. If you are drinking it in-between meals it is triggering cephalic phases insulin response (Cpir). So it's going to mess with satiety hormones as well as keep your insulin elevated making weight loss a struggle. I would also encourage you to define your "why" for eating this way beyond just weight loss. Otherwise it will be hard to stick to it after you lose the weight.

  18. Lunch was cold lol leftover ribeye and chicken liver again. Dinner was braised stew meat with sour cream.

  21. Not sure about science books, but Courtney Luna has a carnivore recipe book coming out. She has a YouTube channel. The carnivore revolution channel puts out a lot of recipe content.
  22. I am feeling a bit sluggish today. Yawning a lot, I feel like I'd like to go take a nap. It could be that I woke up with an alarm today as I was on school break last week and woke up naturally each day, but I the tired feeling hit me as I was drinking my decaf with light cream. Why light cream? because it is next to impossible to find HWC that does not contain sludge. Does dairy make you sleepy? What nasty side effects do you notice with dairy?
  23. I only have liver occasionally. I like to think of a whole tribe sharing an animal. How much liver would each person actually get compared to other meats.

  25. Exactly, and binging on "health" foods like chickpeas is no better than binging on ice cream. It's just plain disordered eating.
