  1. And that makes perfect sense for those situations, the advantage of YouTube or a podcast is that I can go back a few seconds if I missed something and some videos I noticed will show the most replayed part of the video, IDK if that is a feature that the content creators control.
  2. Yesterday was cold steak "salad" Scrambled egg and ground beef patty. Pickle and hot butter nightcap. (Just butter and hot water with a splash of vanilla and cinnamon
  3. I feel this. I am afraid of farmers markets. I should get over it for the beef.
  4. This was a great intro. My only observation is that the cadence of your speech could tik up just a bit faster. I listened at double speed where I usually listen at 1.5-1.75 and I felt I could have sped you up to 2.25 if it were possible and still understood you. IDK if this makes sense, but when listening like a podcast, slower cadence puts me to sleep and leaves room for ADHD mind to go off on it's own tangents.
  5. Another reason people stick to it is the zero carb zen... it's not just a catchy title they made up because it sounds good. You start to feel a bit closer to walking on sunshine. Calm. Positive. Grateful even.
  6. Scrambled egg and sausage London broil steak Gelatin
  7. Hello and welcome. Have you looked into Tim Noakes's story. He was also very fit and got diabetes. What are you eating like now? I
  8. The last of our eggs from a friend's backyard chickens, scrambled again, with jones pork sausage patties. So good! I keep telling my husband, our back yard raised beds that are already enclosed need to be converted to a chicken yard. We have a lot of predators that pass through our lot so, he thinks it will just end in tragedy. around lunch time I had a heap of jello blocks made from ginger tea and unflavored Re-lyte. and half a hamburger patty, and half a hard boiled egg. Dinnertime was the other half of the burger patty and some grilled top round steak. and a couple more ginger jello blocks.
  9. Hmmm. My back started itching like crazy after eating the yogurt. That's it! I guess I should just throw it out rather than treating my body like a garbage can!
  10. I have never seen or heard narked I had to look it up. I would love to use it but narc-ed over hear means something altogether different. More like tattling. Narc is short for narcotics undercover cop sent into bust school age people.
  11. Scrambled eggs and bacon Yogurt Pot roasted chuck. Well, I had dairy but still no creamy seductive decaf or cheese.
  12. Can I just say how happy and relieved I am that my husband didn't discourage me from my carnivore journey, even after witnessing my exorcism in the bathroom last night! I am really convinced it was my daily fat intake that caused the upheaval and he agreed that he has had that happen to him from eating kielbasa. It didn't hurt that he got a second lunch out of the shrimp I pulled out of the freezer today because of my temporary beef aversion.
  13. Dairy and decaf free day 3. It was a struggle today. The only grab-able snacky food in the fridge right now is cheese and beef and after last night I decided to steer clear of the beef. I will try some tomorrow.
  14. Was a bit off today due to last night's poor sleep. Breakfast was scrambled eggs...so good and satisfying! Lunch was jumbo shrimp sauteed in butter with soft boiled eggs. Dinner triggered the randle cycle with grilled chicken with grey poupon & pear, bacon and a homemade dinner roll. I had a banana with peanut butter. I am hoping the banana will bind up my guts.
  15. Isn't it currently turkey season? Is that legal to identify out of season?

  18. Meh, not sure I will do that again. I feel the hot fat out of slow cooker always make me sick. And last night was the worst. Might do a separate post about it.
  19. Fried eggs with sausage pucks. 2 beef patties Slow cooked brisket
  20. @GeezyCan you decode the acronyms please?IIRC NMR
  21. I wasn't sure what to call frothed hot water with a tablespoon of butter. It's bridge for me, because I don't have sober behavior around liquid dairy and I am cutting it out until June to see if that helps with digestive complaints as well.
  22. Breakfast: Shrimp omelet with bacon Lunch: Can of kippers Dinner: grilled xl beef patty, medium rare grilled chicken thighs sausage patties. more bacon butter tea Day two of no dairy and decaf! I am challenged a bit and am leaning into the plain water today.
  23. I was just thinking today that I wish I could go back to 1999 knowing what I know now. I used the WIC program here in US, if you are not familiar is a Women Infants and Children food voucher program. They give you cereal, juice, cheese, and peanut butter. I always thought it was weird to give a kid so much juice, so I finally stopped getting that part. I too was always pushing "healthy" snacks like almonds, I used to get huge bags of those and pistachios whenever they were on sale. I think going forward we need to focus on radiating the results of good nutrition and hope they follow suit. My daughter is still hooked on sweet teas. I'm sure you have come across Sally K Norton already. She is really fabulous, but she cautions people not to ditch them too fast and says it could take years to unload all of them. I would say if you are not experiencing the dumping then don't worry about it. Our bodies are really amazing at healing themselves, if we would only get out of the way. If you are worried about breast cancer, consider iodine supplementation. Dr Elizabeth Bright is a great resource regarding that.
