  1. Ketones are what we use for energy. If you are exercising more then the body needs more energy so the body will be using up more ketones. It may not be that your body isn’t producing more ketones but that you are using up what your body is producing. The measurement of ketones in your body show either what is present or what is being expelled so it could stand to reason that if you are burning them up for energy due to increased exercise there may not be as many show up in the test.
  2. On my last blood test my A1C was 5.6 which was up from 5.2 from six months earlier. At 5.2 I had been a carnivore for 6 months. So at 5.6 I had been carnivore for a year. As I progress in my diet my hemoglobin are living longer so it kinda skews the numbers. I do not ever eat any sugars, carbs or artificial sweeteners. Remember, our blood test results are judged against a thousand people who got there test done at the same clinic before us. As such we are judged against other people who do not eat the way we do. It’s a pretty un fair comparison if we are not judged against our peers. My cholesterol numbers were, Total cholesterol 329 Triglycerides 51 HDL 68 I have no concerns whatsoever about any of my numbers.
  3. Everyone is different. What one experiences another may not. It could be that her youth at the time may have contributed or maybe autophagy just worked better in her. She also didn’t lose her weight fast. It took her six months before she even started to lose weight. The younger one is the easier they seem to snap back. We cannot compare ourselves to what others have experienced. That’s a bad road to go down because it can lead to disappointment. I’m in my late sixties and I lost 67 pounds in a year and a half. Thats pretty fast. Being obese that left behind a lot of loose skin. Has autophagy helped me? Maybe a little bit even if it hasn’t there’s nothing I can do about it short of surgery and I’m just not that vain. What’s important is my heath not my loose skin so I’m not worried about it. Nobody but my wife needs to see me naked anyways.
  4. It’s funny that people will say that eating carnivore is too expensive as an excuse for not doing it but they shut up when I tell them that the fact that not buying all of the processed junk, sweets and vegetables that they used to buy offsets the cost. Now if you are the only one in a family of 4 eating carnivore then yeah, the grocery bill is probably going to go up.
  5. I keep a printout of my lab work so I can monitor how things are going on as a carnivore. I’ll try to remember to look them up tomorrow.
  6. They consider just killing the animal for food as being inhuman but they don’t take into account that they kill millions more animals than we do. Lol!
  7. Young blonde patient asked, “Hey doctor, every time I touch myself here it hurts. What should I do?” Doctor replies, “Stop touching yourself there”. 😁 Sorry about that but I couldn’t help myself. You are right, the longer you go without those poisons in you the more sensitive you become to them. Not only that but your gut biome is now adapted to digesting nothing but fats and proteins. When you toss in carbs after all this time you end up with a clash of the titans. Not good. Nothing tastes as good as how I feel.
  8. It’s your choice whether or not you take the drugs. My cardiologist loved what I did with carnivore. I hope yours will too. I stopped taking a statin when I learned that they don’t do anything other than line the pockets of Big Pharma. I stopped the blood thinner (aspirin) when I learned it damages kidneys. My cardiologist took me off of the metoprolol when my blood pressure came down to normal levels naturally due to carnivore. He then took me off of my last heart medication a year later.
  9. Got back last night from a trip to Colorado where I ate good but not enough. Today I fixed 4 over easy eggs and a pound of venison burgers.
  10. That depends on the individual. For most people no. The amount of sugar used in the cure is obviously small enough that it doesn’t need to be reported in the total carb count. If you can find sugar free then that’s great but I most of the carnivore doctors and influencers who eat bacon are eating the same thing you are. Now if you react to it in any way then it may be a problem for you.
  11. Congratulations on getting this far. You are doing great. You should be past the physical cravings by now as long as you’ve been strict but you can still have phantom or memory cravings. You remember how good something used to taste and it comes back to you. It can be overwhelming. I’m almost two years in and I still get them. My solution is to eat something fatty or just fat itself. I make my own tallow and I save the leftover rendered fat pieces for a snack if I get a craving. Bacon helps with those cravings too. When it comes to variety of food you are only limited by your imagination. Instead of just burger and scrambled eggs why not make a meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Cook your eggs in different ways or even make an egg custard. There are cheap cuts of beef you can find on sale at the store such as chuck roasts, flank steaks, breakfast steaks. We will often buy a whole roast chicken and eat the dark meat and make chicken salad out of the white meat. Tuna or salmon salad are an option too. Pork butt is cheap and you get a lot. Hopefully you’ll get to the stage in at where I no longer eat for entertainment but only for nutrition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Willkommen Dominik. I’m glad you could join us.
  13. 🤣🤣, yeah I get it.
  14. The citrate? I don’t believe so but I’m no expert.
  15. It all depends on the carb content. On carnivore I would only use the MCT oil on a regular basis. On occasion but rarely, I might use some thyme in a recipe. I will use ACV when I make biltong. On ketovore you have to count the carbs in everything you eat so as long as you stay under 20 grams you should be good on most of that stuff. The big exception would be the almond milk. There is no such thing as almond milk. There are no teats on an almond. All that junk is is seed oils. One of the worst things you can put in your body. Use cream, half and half or just whole milk. If you cans handle dairy and just have to have some kind of milk type product then use coconut milk. It still isn’t milk but at least it’s not a seed oil. EVO isn’t too bad for a fruit oil but finding real EVO can be tricky. Do your research to find real EVO that hasn’t been cut with seed oils. If you are going to do carnivore it’s best to just cut all of that stuff out and just eat and use animal fats, eat moderate protein, use salt liberally and drink water.
  16. Just be aware that magnesium citrate isn’t absorbed in the body and just passes right on through. It can cause loose bowels. It’s what used when I was constipated.
  17. Where the heck have you been buddy. We’ve missed you. I was getting worried that maybe that heart of yours had given out. Glad to see you back.
  18. Carnivore turned me into a Lean Mass Hyper Responder. 🤣🤣🤣 So what do you do with that? Yeah, it doesn’t make sense. Yeah I forgot to mention that last night. I encountered that myself. My doctor has asked me to get one because I refuse to go on a statin but I’ve refused for a couple of reasons. First, my insurance doesn’t cover it and I’ll have to pay out of pocket. Two, it doesn’t matter what the score is. If it’s zero then great, it was a waste of money. If it’s high, oh well, it still a waste of money because I’m not going to change anything. Eating a high fat moderate protein diet does not create cholesterol, calcium or plaque. If you have a plaque or calcium build up it isn’t from carnivore because it takes decades for it to build. No, it was from a lifetime of eating the SAD diet. Eating carnivore is the best way to eat if you have that buildup because it can reduce that buildup. So in my case I just don’t care because if it’s there I’m going to treat it with a proper human diet.
  19. Great story on the desire and will to lose the weight but the reporting of it sux. I hate it when they’ve always got to put ignorant misinformation in these articles. How about just focusing on the great achievement this man has done.
  20. It’s borderline but like I said it’s one of those things that can be affected by diet, how long you fasted or even the time of day. As far as diet goes it can be due to eating too much protein and not enough fat.
  21. I hear you Scott. I had a guy on another forum that was a CICO advocate and we had a discussion about that because I don’t believe in the calorie model. I believe it’s about what you eat and not calories. Well he challenged me to increase my “calorie” intake so I did. I increased my intake from 1700 cals a day to 2500 a day. Not only did I not gain weight but I kept loosing weight. Me and that guy have had numerous discussions since then and he is now a convert. He no longer uses calories as a metric but uses mass as a measurement. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Look up Sally Norton’s book Toxic Superfoods. It’s a real eye opener.
