I've been eating late, lean (sirloins, seafood), and then going to bed on it. I need to stop that, lol 😄

Siamese kidneys? Crikey.

Hahahaha - obvious in hindsight, but hadn't heard them called that before.

Was a surprise to be told at 40 that was the case though.

I hope it is not too serious, I've never heard of it.

What kind of support do you need?

If anything, eat fat before sleeping and you sleep better. Just a bit.

Well I had a bad couple of days eating on Monday and Tuesday. I had to go to Louisiana for a funeral. We stayed at a B&B. The first nightly we went out to eat at my wife’s favorite restaurant in Shreveport. I did good just having the ribeye but I’m sure it was cooked in seed oils. It was a fantastic piece of meat though.
At breakfast the host at the B&B gave us bagels which we declined stating that we didn’t eat bread. The host asked if I had any specific dietary restrictions and I told him I just eat meat and eggs, zero carbs. He asked “Not even grits?” “No sir, not even grits.” We are southerners after all. 😁

So in his generosity he brought me out eggs with extra slices of bacon and sausage. Eggs were cooked in seed oils. The first bite of the sausage I tasted maple. I thought what the heck, it’s just this one time. Then I took a bite of the bacon. It was oven baked which I don’t care for but that wasn’t the worst part, it was covered in brown sugar.🤮🤮🤮     I swallowed that bite to be polite but couldn’t eat anymore. Then after the service there was a catered wake. I looked over the selection and saw a few items I thought I could eat. Jalapeño poppers. Great. Stuffed with cream cheese that had something sweet in it. At this point I’m hungry and I didn’t care so I ate four of them. Meatballs covered in a tomato based sauce. They were made with Wagyu beef and were tasty. The sauce wasn’t very thick so I indulged, after all I was hungry. I’m pretty sure there were some kind of fillers in the meatballs. For someone who has been as strict as I’ve been for over 200 days all of this was a bit of a shock to my system.
On the four hour drive home we stopped at a bbq joint and got a whole rack of ribs. The first good meat in almost two days.
Before we got home I started noticing that my hands were getting real stiff so I knew that inflammation was creeping in. The next day I had gained two pounds and my pants were tighter around the middle. Geez man, it wasn’t that much off plan but dang it had a dramatic impact. Oh and I had loose bowels. Next time I encounter that situation I’ll practice what I preach and just fast. That “little bit” ain’t worth it.

Wow, I’m impressed with how you tried to handle the whole difficult situation!
