after my bike ride today loaded the bike and started driving home and started feeling sick, puller over and laid down for a while but chest and left arm pain was starting.

Managed to get a hold of one of the other riders and asked if he could take my bike because I had to go to hospital.

Was able to drive myself to emergency, they could not do the surgery because they had someone else with same issue but but more serious, so I got a helicopter ride to another hospital.

Hopefully I get out tomorrow, I have been carnivore for 9 months, I am 61 years old and overall in good health, so I thought

I did one set of blood tests after starting carnivore. I fell off the wagon on Memorial Day and I'm making my way back. Anyway, after about 6/7 weeks of carnivore my small lipid particles -which is the most important metric to examine for cardiovascular risk- were Low. The overall number doesn't matter. I don't trust any physician as a professional if they push statins (except in cases where the small particles are very high) now that we know the horrible side effects of those drugs. I think there's not much worse than excessive pain trying to move and dementia.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
Since Natto is plant-based, is it ok for Carnivore?
Do you take it as a supplement?
What brand do you take?

Not carnivore exactly but plants can be used as a medicine. Always better to go natural than artificial.

Anytime.

Strict carnivore is working for me but I believe the operative words are 'working for me' not carnivore.

The object is to find what is working and build from there. If it is carnivore great, if it is a modified version, then so be it.

Our health should be the goalpost (and we all know in life the goalposts constantly change).

Exactly!

There are no set rules to eating carnivore, just guidelines.

We start with a foundation of 70/30 fat to protein ratio but since we are individuals with different physiological needs we have to adjust our diets to what works best us.

Agreed.

In a sense we all got to our unhealthy selves by following the rules set by others, 'food pyramid', 'eat all your vegetable', 'cholesterol kills', 'eat four to five times per day', ' seed oils are healthier than animal fats', 'statins are the better alternative to a rise in LDL'......the list goes on an and on.

For me, I'm using the carnivore way of eating as a guideline, maybe even as a platform, but at the same time dialing it up for me as an individual. I feel like I do better on just red meats so I supplement red meats with bacon and eggs and chicken and pork, but red meat is my staple. I'm also on the plus side of the 70:30 ratio between fats and proteins. I purposely added salt for a long time, even eating a pinch or two throughout the day. As of late I have found salt does not taste good anymore and about the only thing it tastes good on is eggs. I do go sort of heavy on the salt with eggs. I have just about nailed down my fasting routine to one 72 hour stint and one 72-96 hour stint per month.

This is where I am at right now but it feels like it is ever changing. For the first time in probably forever, my body is driving the bus.

I would rather eat Natto than take a man made pill full of who knows what

with countless side effects.

Natto is the ONLY plant that passes thru my lips. 50g / day to control BP

I generally eat 2lbs of fatty meat/eggs a day

So I would surmise my diet consists of 95% carnivore ( i'm being generous with 5% to natto )

It's been proven to work for BP by studies in Japan, it's been around for 1000's of years so I'd trust

the studies.

Do the research on benefits/negatives on Natto, buy a 3 pack and stir it well to activate

the enzymes.

It's not for everyone but even myself will eat this if it keeps me alive, better health and not taking pills.

Screw the supplemental man made crap = pills

I go to the asian markets buying 45 day supply so 15 packs of 3 (they come in 3 packs)

I don't use the soy & mustard packs with them because they contain sugars and stuff

I don't want in my body.

Funny thing is @Geezy @Bob @Scott F. I didn't EVER follow the pyramid, healthy eating, veg. oil or cholesterol kills mentallity.

I was eating whatever I felt, didn't worry because I was "INVINCIBLE" or so I thought.

Drinking booze, doin things I shouldn't be doin and eating convenience because convenience was good.😆

Glad you're dialing in what works for you
