After my heart attack, my wife and doctor are firm believers that my 11-month carnivore diet were the reason.

Anyway, in a couple of months they are going to do more test to see how it's going, I have to try to get it down and I refused the statins.

Are there fats I should cut out and go mostly protein, they don't want me cooking with butter, I have been cooking my eggs with butter and putting a little bit of butter in 1 cup of coffee.

I have cut out 99% of sausages because I don't believe they were good, the only ones I eat are the Organic Beef Smocked Sausage Kielbasa that we buy at Costco, also hamburger meat 70/30, chicken thighs cooked in tallow, that sense then my wife has been ditching the skin, my favorite.

I have not eaten cheese in a long time, the only dairy I consume is organic half and half with coffee 1.5 tablespoon 10-12 oz cup.

I was eating 4 slices of bacon on the days I worked with eggs; wife is cutting that out, wife and doctor are both sold on the fact that Bacon fat, dairy and tallow are the reason for my heart attack.

I can already tell there is much less fat when I go to bathroom.

After my mom's dementia I have said more than once, I rather die than take a statin

For me it is an easy call on the statins.

I am not a doctor nor a medical professional. The first six months my total cholesterol and my LDL dropped. Total cholesterol went from 239 to 219 and my LDL dropped from 187 to 152. The second six months my total dropped a few points, and my LDL went to 164.

I went a month or two stretch where I tried to eat leaner meats and I let the fat content drop way below what I had been eating. One, I didn't feel as energetic as low-fat and no sugar/no carbs leaves the body searching for energy. Since I feel like I was pretty much fat adaptive my body turned to fat stores. I think that was the increase in LDL I experienced a few months back.

The lipid test, much like glucose, is one spot in time and that number could readily change during the course of the day, the week the months. etc. If the body is becoming fat adaptive/adapted, it stands to reason there would be more fat in the blood. Cholesterol can go up.

All the things you listed will help with lowering cholesterol. I'm not sure beef or bacon fat would cause heart issues as the research does not support those age old teachings. I would think your heart issues are from the years prior to carnivore.

Eating carnivore is one thing. Having a partner that supports the efforts is one great, even being neutral at times, but having a partner who is anti-carnivore for health reasons is a whole different animal. Especially if their opinion is adamantly supported by your doctor. That will always be a tough row to hoe.

I would suggest exercise and lifting weights/resistance training. (understanding the heart issues may limit your abilities). I would especially target the legs. Air squats, jumping jacks, etc. Tons of sitting resistance work videos on you tube. Followed by longer walks to get in those steps.

If the fat is going to be in your blood the best thing to do is to increase the need for energy. Use the fat since it is already there.

Best of luck. Thoughts and prayers.

The this guy did his research link in my signature may help you.

Don't believe the lies link also.

Here's another reason why we NEED NOT to play God with our bodies.

Your liver makes 80% of the cholesterol in your body, your liver regulates the cholesterol.

So why would your liver try to kill you??

Don't take my word for it.

Ask AI

Can humans thrive on no cholesterol

Will human liver try to kill you with cholesterol

You have the tools and now a bit of guidance you need to finish the research.

I'm not a dr nor giving medical advice but you have proof with those 2 questions.

Hell ask the drug pushing dr, why would my liver try to kill me by making 80% of my cholesterol?

Keep a good look at their face while they try to respond.

Good luck and wish you well.

2014 I have main artery 98% blocked with stent in place had another heart attack 4 months later while drinking and eating the shit everyone calls food.

1 year on carnivore strictly.

16 eggs a day for 8 weeks

Bacon and eggs mostly now

I'm feeling better now than I did in my 30s.

Your biggest concern is educating yourself and disproving the naysayers on your beliefs.

Hope you watched the links I mentioned earlier.

Eggs from sam's club pasture raised but after seeing Lillie Kane's video I'm at a loss now.

Can you tolerate fiber and/or would you be willing to include psyllium husk, citrus fruits, or melons into your diet?

You could also consider supplementing with citrus bergamot or drinking a couple cups of Earl Grey tea with real citrus bergamot oil in it. Nattokinase, while doesn’t directly lower cholesterol, is known to decrease arteriole plaque and thin the blood.

The egg video is a 'no doubter'. My sister-in-law raised laying hens in a hatchery that got shipped off to laying operations. Multiple trucks from multiple companies picked up her pullets and each company had a different ad campaign.

I never got much into the debate on the benefits of pasture raised or regular chicken house eggs.

My chickens are pesticide and anti-biotic free but they do (most of them) live in a pen. I open the doors and let them out a lot of mornings and they come back to roost at night. I'm not sure where that lands in the quality of the egg but it does not much matter to me.

I'm more of an egg is an egg kinda guy.

Well that’s just so ignorant on several levels.

There is no way on this green earth that being carnivore for only 11 months could possibly cause a heart attack. Absolute bovine excrement. It takes a lifetime of bad eating and poor health to set up the circumstances within the body to cause a heart attack.

Some people can be more susceptible to heart disease due to their dna but even then it only means that they will probably contract CVD at an earlier age.

There has never, in the history of mankind, ever been a single study that proves that eating what man has always eaten from nearly the beginning of time causes CVD.

Your heart attack was not caused by eating carnivore. While it could be a dna deficiency it was most likely due to the diet you have eaten all of the years preceding carnivore.

If you want to lower your cholesterol it’s your business and I’ll support you in your efforts but there is no reason to do it. Every study where they tried to prove that cholesterol caused CVD ended up showing just the opposite. In fact they all showed that those with lower cholesterol experienced more all cause mortality than those with higher cholesterol.

There is no correlation between high cholesterol and heart attacks.

I’m not just talking out my rear here, I practice what I preach. I’ve been carnivore for over two years now. In that time I have reversed my heart issues and my cardiologist has taken me off all of my heart medications and only wants me to come in once a year for a check up now. He actually loves what I’m doing with my diet and my health.
