What's the weirdest carnivore food you ever tried?

In the spirit of you will eat ze bugs and be happy I tried fried freeze dried mealworms and an egg a while ago.

My family was not happy with the burnt mealworm smell for days.

Turns out they soak up fat and immediately burn.

I was a basic meat and potatoes guy before carnivore and did not have a big variety or big palate.

This is no stretch for most but I made a pizza cruse out of ground chicken and eggs. Turned into a really good pizza.

That is about as far out there as I go. LOL

I have eaten my share of insects in the past due to working in Korea and going through several survival training challenges. I am not a fan by any stretch but I know that if it came down to eating an insect or dying from starvation I know I can do it but barring that I’ll never eat another unless there was a heavy wager riding on it.

I personally don’t think anything I eat as a carnivore is weird although others might. I think it’s just natural. I’m a hunter and I raise most of the animals that I eat. I waste very little of what I kill so organs are on the dinner menu. I always save the heart, liver, and kidneys. I have been known to save the spleen as well but it really doesn’t have much flavor and the texture is kinda mushy. The one that gets some people is what we call calf fries here in Texas. These are the testicles from the young bull calves when we “cut” them or castrate them. Back in my cowboy days I would cut several hundred calves in one day. We would eat our fill of calf fries for lunch during those roundups.

Haven't done any insects yet, although I've heard that crustaceans are simply the insect of the sea, lol. But apparently insect consumption is common in some cultures, and was something maybe all humans were doing in primitive times.

Ironically, this was the topic of one of our Monday livestreams several weeks back....
