Question about raw milk on carnivore

Recommended Posts

How do you guys feel about raw milk on carnivore? I (20F 5’7 130lbs) workout quite regularly and will be adhering to strict carnivore best I can. I’m not looking to lose too much weight, but then again I’ve heard testimonials about men and women body recomping (weight staying the same on the scale but losing pants sizes/ clothes fitting looser) on carnivore without even having to strength train.

Thoughts and opinions???

If you can tolerate it (no adverse effects) by all means Raw>homogenized any time. Lactose intolerance then goats milk is your go to.

I have yet to exercise (waiting to heal from surgery) but I have stalled @ 263 lbs for a month, just now able to fit into shorts I wore 4+

years ago.  So sizes-lbs doesn't necessarily correlate.

I don’t drink milk but just because I don’t see the need to but I do make yogurt and ice cream. If I come across some raw milk I’d like to try making some yogurt out of it.
I did no strength training when I was losing weight and I lost no muscle that I could measure or feel.
I lost 60 pounds in one year. I did walk for exercise in the beginning when I was able to walk again but during the winter I stopped. I did use some resistance bands on occasion but in reality I did very little exercise but then again, exercise doesn’t provide weight loss.

If you're not interested in weight loss, you don't need to be as zero carb as possible, and therefore some raw milk is still an animal product, and you could enjoy it.

I found a local connection for some near me, but I haven't approached him yet because I am still in the 'would like to lose some weight' phase of my life, with just another 10 pounds to go, lol. After that, I will probably incorprorate some raw milk into my diet on occasion. I was never much of a milk person to begin with.

I always lead off with I am 'brand new' at five months, but I think there is the carnivore lifestyle and there is my carnivore lifestyle.

I like milk, not the biggest fan of raw milk, but a glass here and there is not the end of the world to me. It has its sugars and was never really meant for an adult, and with that said, I like drinking a glass of milk here and there.

I hit a stall around 245 or so which I hung around the 60lb mark, a few pounds up and down for a month or so. Prior to that stall I had not drank milk at all. I tried to connect the milk to the stall but can't really swear there was a connection. I planned to stop the milk and do a self-experiment, but I mixed in a 72 hour fast and the 'fall' started again down to bouncing around the 70lb mark now. Did I jump start the fall with no milk or the fasting? I am going to lean toward the fasting (maybe because I really like milk, LOL)

As I ease toward carnivore being a lifestyle vs. a diet I'm leaning toward "if I wake up today and feel as good as yesterday (and a lot of days even better) then yesterday's plan was pretty good". . I am more than happy with the changes since May.

I'm a 'meat, salt and water guy (with an occasional drink mixer) and the closest 'cheat' I have had is the occasional glass of milk.

I don't consider myself a "t-totaller" by any means, but I think I can see that light down at the end of the tunnel. Maybe I need to log on to one of the "carnivore police' sites and see?

Great topic. Nice discussion by all.

Scott
