Coffee?
I hereby challenge you as a Dutch person in a coffee drink off, usurper! haha. I do drink my coffee too, with stevia and butter or coconut oil. I will not give that up in the near future. I do limit my intake.

Carnivore pizza, look that up. Don't be afraid to add a little sauce, especially for kids. Gradual change is the best change, the one that sticks.

Weight Training on Carnivore
Yuppers. High intensity, and go heavy on the weights. Go big. Beast mode. Enough said.

Exactly. We must consider the biochemical, hormonal, glycation, and inflammatory response. Yes you can lose weight on twinkies, but you can't keep it.

11 months Carnivore: Financial limitations and lack of results.
It shows that calories in calories out do not work. If you can lose weight eating ice-cream as you claim, why haven't you? Why waste time with meat? Do what works for you, not for anybody else. It is your body.

Weight Training on Carnivore
Good news. No need to count calories anymore. You could track what you eat for reference, track your macros for sure, but that's it. More good news. You do not need cardio to lose weight. It's an unwise method as we cannot outrun what we eat. A 5K run is a chocolate chip cookie we eat in 5 seconds. Do cardio for vascular health, that's it. Moving is important of course, mostly for heart health and metabolism. For weight-loss, that is a losing battle the fitness industry makes a lot of money on. Yes. Keep it simple. Caveat, obviously, you need about an hour and a half of cardio a week for cardiovascular health but shoveling snow or walking the dog counts as cardio as well. A 15 minute jog may suffice or sprinting. In short, track your macros if you must, do not count calories, focus on muscle growth and eating right. A more explicit opinion as bonus: steps and calories are bullshit and a waste of time. It leads one to be discouraged as we cannot outrun what we eat. It is why the food and fitness industry can always count on the dollars to roll in. Change that way of thinking. That is a more important step than any of those 10,000 steps.

Need advice- 3 months on carnivore while breastfeeding
At least the milk, or anything high in lactose (sugar). Some cheeses will be fine.

Need advice- 3 months on carnivore while breastfeeding
I do not think so. Not likely. You're over the 90 day period and had time to adjust. Though coming from having a baby, hormone fluctuations may be still a factor. Recovery may take up to a year. If you haven't changed your fat intake, and you felt good before, not likely. That could be the case, it also depends on your electrolyte intake. Drink when you're thirsty, that's it. I'd take magnesium and potassium as you also mention fatigue. Just drinking water may not be enough. Yes, you could. I'd recommend Ketovore, add avocados, for instance, and make an egg salad with those. I do on occasion. Carnivore is not for everyone. Not in my case. As I am not a physician or expert, I can only refer to my personal experience and observation from others. I would assume that your eating pattern stayed roughly the same thus there may be a deficiency regarding electrolytes or nutrients. Noticing your diet, I would increase beef intake over chicken and pork. Eat until you're stuffed, and eat when you're hungry. On carnivore your body is more honest, if you will, and it allows you to listen to its needs. I am not as knowledgeable as some of the others on here but I hope it helped regardless. Since you're breastfeeding I would strongly recommend taking iodine, Dr. Berry on Youtube and others have mentioned this numerous times. I'd also look into taking potassium and magnesium as you mentioned fatigue. And if you don't already, I'd take D3 and K2 along with it, being in the winter. I've always done so regardless of diet I was on. Good luck.

Orweller replied to CarnivoreSince2018's post in a topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic DiscussionYes exactly. Or the old Italian man in Catch 22. During the German occupation he was for Germany, and now that the Americans spearheaded into Italy, he is for the allies.

Hey! You northern folks.
We're sharing our northern experience with you folks, which I am sure is appreciated. You're welcome.

Fat Burn Zone
On top of calories cannot be burned. It is a rough/poor estimation of energy output. One would need to severely cut food intake, which is detrimental to your health eventually, missing out on nutrients you need on a daily basis. Nutrients that can be found in meat by the way.

Orweller replied to CarnivoreSince2018's post in a topic in Everyday Chit Chat & Off-topic DiscussionI think Zuckerberg sees the way the wind blows and chooses to bend along with it. No more, no less. I do not believe he has seen the light so sudden. If anything, he has shown anything, he is willing to bend with the wind, no principles, just doing business with whomever is in charge. While the shift in gear can me admired, it does not outweigh the willingness to suppress opinions that went against the grain, the grain being, the current political beast at the time. It's almost like he is claiming to be a victim too, of the very circumstances he helped to create. Ultimately, he is without integrity, and utterly focused on his bottom line. No more, no less.

I have lost weight after increasing my calories by 700 for a week. There's been instances where people gained weight on a 600 calorie diet conducted in a hospital.

This is why you need to be careful of cheese
Yes, I also see cheese as a great way to tweak my diet. Also to add variety, without eating blocks of cheese in one sitting of course.

CHECK YOUR BUTTER.....
There's a lot of food waste going on, that is for sure. Some silly regulation preventing distributing otherwise perfectly good food to the needy.

And I reckon, we are always in the fat burning zone as that is our primary fuel. But that may be an ignorant observation.

You could track your calories on an app, but rather count your macros, to make sure you've got enough protein, etc. 0.8 to 1 gram of pound of protein per pound of ideal body weight. So if your goal is 180 lbs. consume between 144 and 180 gram of protein. That is doable I'd say. Eat 8 oz. of ground pork and you got about 60 grams of protein right there. Add a leaner cut of meat in the mix, and if you go too lean, add a tbsp of butter or some shredded cheese.

I guess we're looking for fat-loss, and not weight loss. The scale can be quite deceptive. So what if we know how hard the earth is pulling on us with it's gravity? What is it pulling is the question! Good luck on your journey.
