I just found out this group after watching Geoff ‘s interview with Dave on YouTube  an hour ago!  I am greatly inspired by Geoff’s story and wanted to join this group to continue my carnivore journey.  I am a 69 years old retired professor in geology. Had a heart attack three years ago.  My left ventricular is expanded and EF was as low as 17% then.  My CAC score is over 1400, with 30-60% blockages…. Geoff’s recovery from his heart problems through carnivore diet is just remarkable!  I have been on carnivore since June 2024, feel better, but still am struggling to get my EF back to normal.  After hearing Geoff’s story, I am convinced that I can heal myself through carnivore diet.  I wanted to be part of this group, learn and share carnivore experiences.

Thank you,

Jack

I’m so glad and humbled that I had an impact with you Jack.
While our heart conditions are different from each other there’s no doubt in my mind that carnivore can help you. The biggest factor, according to my cardiologist, is reducing the inflammation in the body especially in the chest.
Staying as pure as possible carnivore is your best bet for optimal health.
Welcome to carnivore talk Jack.

Welcome Jack!

So glad you found the carnivore diet.  You are on the right path!

I will offer my perspective in regards to inflammation, as this was something I wish I had known a long time ago.  Western medicine regards inflammation as a bad thing, the root of all evil, if you will.  They try to reduce it any number of ways.  Dont get me wrong, inflammation is not what any of us want, but it is a healing response, rather than the enemy.  Fixing the problem that is causing the inflammation is the key, and is one of the things that carnivore is very, very good for!

Late to the thread. Welcome. I agree the inflammation is the body telling us something is wrong, really not much more than a heads up. Most medical thinking is to treat the inflammation as the problem not the root cause. No heart issues or experience but my inflammation went away ~4-6 weeks after going carnivore. My pain and inflammation was from an autoimmune disease and the prednisone and Neurontin treated the inflammation. At least it helped me remain functional. Six weeks of Carnivore and not only did the inflammation go away but my immunoglobulin numbers started to move toward healthy. 11 months later and I am on the cusps of being normal but I will have let my wife define normal. LOL . Your correct, carnivore can provide healing. Good luck, and welcome.
