Hello everyone. I have been carnivore for 4+ years now, however I've went strict carnivore for 8+ months ago. I was doing the lion diet for about 4 years, occasionally deviating at a party or some other get together. It was basically 95% meat, mainly beef, and 5% chips, pizza or some other kind of snack. When I went strict carnivore, ditching the remaining 5% crap, it was like I went the next 50% to the finish line. I am looking forward to possibly adding some knowledge to this forum. Thank you

Welcome aboard and enjoy the ride @jmnew51 . Plenty of mentors here to share their experiences, advice and just chew the fat (chit chat).

Q?...Is there any way to reply to individual posts or can I only use the reply to topic button?

Yes, hit the “quote” button. That's how I’m replying directly to you.

If you only want to respond to a specific sentence or word in the thread you can just highlight it and you should see an option to quote that specific item. You can also do multiple quotes.

Sure Scott F. You can ask me anything any time. I have been carnivore for 4 years now and strict lion diet for 8 months or so. I also do a lot of research into the biology and pathophysiology of the carnivore way of eating.

I'm at 14 months or so. I have been strict carnivore since the start. I have found I do better/feel better on long stretches of red meat. I do have some variety when we cook for the two of us so it is some occasional chicken or pork or fish. If I was cooking/buying for one it would be red meat all the time.

The last few months I have done some deep dives into the things that affect me most (NMO/SD and inflammation) and most of that centered around fasting. Still tons to learn but I guess I'm getting there.

Ah ok. Just did it. That's how I'm replying to you.

Thank you - Jim

I've heard that, that even if you are 99% carnivore, you feel the difference when you go all in.

Yes. There is a Quote button on each post, along with a + sign for a multiquote function. Then if you highlight just a portion of text, a quote option should pop up to let you quote just that portion.

Scott

Same here, as my wife is not on board with me I need to incorporate chicken and fish. If it was just me it would be red meat all the time as well. Yes we all have tons of learning to do and glad you feel like you're getting there. There are tons of resources on the internet, however just keep confirmation bias in the back of your head. BTW what is NMO/SD.

I took a Certified Carnivore Coach program sponsored by IPHM (international practitioners of holistic medicine) conducted by Coach Peter.
