Hi,

My name is Aisha and I just started with the carnivore diet on June 17. So far, so good. I am hoping to get healthier and lose weight. My doctor tells me I am pre-hypertensive and pre-diabetic. This seems like what I need. I guess time will tell.

Welcoem aboard Aisha!

:welcome:

I think this diet is exactly what you need. For what it's worth, I have successfully reversed my hypertension and my pre-diabetes with my carnivore diet and accompanying weight loss.

Welcome. I'm brand new as well. Only a couple weeks on this board and started around May 8th or so.

I'm not a medical professional by any means (but like most I have Google degrees in just about everything, LOL)

I lost 30 pounds in 31-32 days. I did not have the carni-keto flu symptoms at all. I did have one case of severe diarrhea but I think my food choices prior to eating would have been the same, regardless of carnivore or not. I have a couple three times where my energy level was flat to non-existent but I'm 54 and a hundred pounds over weight so I'm not quite ready to run a marathon. For the most part my energy level has been better than before. I can say I have only been actually hungry on two occasions since I started. I work 12 hour shifts so I eat based on that at times. Mostly I have moved to a once per day meal and it is not like I am starving then. I have an auto-immune disease that required pain and inflammation medicine at given times throughout the month. After 25-30 days on the carnivore diet, keeping the weight loss in mind as well, I have not gone to the medicine cabinet for the pain/anti-inflammatory medicine in the last two to three weeks.

I can't say it will help anything medically for you, but I can say what it has done for me thus far.....and that is without any of my Google Degrees. LOL

Welcome.

Thank you all for the responses! I didn't want to post a picture, but I think it will help me with accountability. I'll post another picture on 7/15. Wish me luck!!

    • "Marching into March with Much Motivation"

For this months challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to get up and move. Spring is in the air. The weather is getting better. Get out there and MOVE! Go for walks, hike some trails if they aren't too muddy. Or just make a goal to get on the treadmill or lift some weights more than usual throughout the month. Get in the habit now, and we just might have beach bodies when summer officially hits, lol.

Just like before, we encourage you to check in daily, and share what you have eaten, perhaps a weigh-in if you're willing, and enjoy in some small talk.

The March drawing will be for a 4-pack of Carnivore Bars!

Every Reply in this topic will count as an entry for this month's prize drawing. Back-to-back posts count as 1 entry as a counter to spamming.

Attending Monday night zoom also counts as a bonus entry. Being a supporter of our YouTube channel also gives you an entry.

    • Today is February 1st and marks the first day of "National Fasting February" - and yes, this is a thing. Google it!

For this month's challenge, we are going to support each other in our efforts to practice various forms of fasting throughout the month. The type of fasting you wish to do is entirely up to you. We are going to encourage INTERMITTENT FASTING, that is to put it simply, skipping a meal so that you are only eating 2 meals a day instead of the traditional 3 meals a day. The goal is to enjoy these meals within an 8 hour "feasting window" and then no food in the remaining 16 hours "fasting window" (in which 8 of those hours you should be sleeping).

An example is waking up at 7am, but waiting until 11am-noon for your first meal, and then having dinner at 6-7pm for your 2nd meal. Other people prefer to eat a breakfast, then a mid-day lunch, and skip dinner.

If you want to throw in a 24, 48, or 72 hour fast just to show off by all mean do so, lol.
