2-year Postpartum with a Love for Powdered Milk and Chocolate

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I just created an account to commit and not this on my to-do list, so I'm looking forward to banging out this goal with everyone.

I am a mother to a child who is 34 months, and I have recently purchased workout clothes, cut down sugar, but my coffee with milk and chocolate powder vice has become atrocious. Finally decided it was time to take the reins and put this thing to a screeching halt. I hope anyone connects with me and helps me succeed, besides the work I am planning to do myself!

See you all around!

PS: I am not a native English speaker, and gym memberships are out of the question at the moment, as they are a bit far from my home.

Welcome. There is a lot of good information here.

As far as the gym membership, save your money and us youtube. There are millions of at-home workouts that will get you to where you want to be. Bodyweight exercises are amazing. And most don't believe it, but simply walking for30-60 minutes several times a week will do wonders.

Then build from there.

As far as the sugars, I finished up the Mountain Dews I had purchased earlier in the week when I started. (I also finished off a tub of ice cream that first week as well) I had never been much of a water drinker so getting started i used the drink mixers to stay hydrated. Now it is strictly water.

Carnivore is addition by subtraction. it is more about what you removed from your diet that what you are eating.

Good luck, and welcome.

Scott

Hi and welcome! You know yourself best, are you a rip off the band aid quickly sort or more take your time. Just decide cold turkey or make a plan to gradually wean yourself off of sweets. Don't however, try to use anything with sweeteners natural or otherwise. This is my opinion others may disagree, but sweeteners cause struggles in maintaining this lifestyle.

Welcome aboard @swineanddine.

We all have addictions to carbs, sugars and we can make excuses as to why we can't/won't remove something from our diets but the fact is the decision rests solely on our shoulders no one else's.

I love how my coffee tastes and I drink it when I vape (0 nicotine) out of habit.  I want to quit both but I don't see or feel the effects like when I accidentally ate fried chicken in seed oils.

What's your WHY for doing carnivore??

Also it may help to know your native tongue as I'm sure some of us speak more than English.

We're here to help.

My first bit of advice is while I can appreciate wanted to put things to "a screeching halt", this can be easier said that done and you might slip and have a sip now and again, and IF you do, do not let that derail you. Don't beat yourself up, and don't give up and go off the rails for the rest of the day. It's not the occasional giving into temptation that sabotages your efforts. It is the "I'll start again tomorrow (or Monday, or next week, or January 1st, etc)" that gets you.

If you give into temptation, you get right back up on your feet that very instant - and resolve to be "on plan" for your very next meal or decision.
