So many folks pissed about META today. I'm leaving a link to this forum on my health page.

What did they do now? I am on FB but only for my family overseas.

Hey, Orweller!

Here is Zuckie Boys video where he explains the Facebook change, I included his video caption. Thanks for contacting me!

Hmmm🤔 freedom of speech, what a novel concept. Sounds good to me.
The only reason this spineless little weasel is doing this though is because he’s afraid of the new administration. I it’s not a hill he’s willing to die on but it’s still a good thing. We’ll see how it works out.

I think Zuckerberg sees the way the wind blows and chooses to bend along with it. No more, no less. I do not believe he has seen the light so sudden. If anything, he has shown anything, he is willing to bend with the wind, no principles, just doing business with whomever is in charge. While the shift in gear can me admired, it does not outweigh the willingness to suppress opinions that went against the grain, the grain being, the current political beast at the time.

It's almost like he is claiming to be a victim  too, of the very circumstances he helped to create. Ultimately, he is without integrity, and utterly focused on his bottom line. No more, no less.

He reminds me of the ferryman in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales. Whistling Dixie when the Rebs show up and Battle Hymn of the Republic when the Yankees arrive.

Yes exactly. Or the old Italian man in Catch 22. During the German occupation he was for Germany, and now that the Americans spearheaded into Italy, he is for the allies.

Not sure if I am replying correctly but here goes... I think it looks like straight up gas lighting mixed with fear.

Facebook has always been a thief. They have never really done anything original.

It started as a MySpace clone.
Google+ came along, and offer Circles. Facebook steals and adds "Friends Lists".
Google+ starts Communities. Facebook steals and starts "Facebook Groups".
Google+ offers Video Conferencing. Facebook adds video conferencing to Messenger.
Facebook tries to steal video from YouTube.
Snapchat introduces Stories. Facebook steals and adds "Reels" to Instagram.
TikTok becomes a thing. Facebook modifies "Reels" to function the same and adds it to Facebook too.
Musk buys Twitter. Facebook starts Threads, basically a Twitter/X clone.
Musk champtions free speech on X. And now Zuckerberg is promising free speech on Facebook.
