hi there. i started carnivore 5 years ago. i made a lot of progress. i was with doctor shawn baker's community, meat rx. we had zoom calls every day. i made a lot of progress. i crashed and burned after 16 months, when i contracted long covid.

i resumed 2 months ago and have made some progress. my meat selection is tastier so that i don't develop meat aversion. i'm also fasting every day.

can anyone tell me how long it takes to acheive carnivore clarity? or keto bliss? i need to start feeling better soon, otherwise i will not be motivated to avoid drinking booze.

i really need to feel good. this is my only goal in life. to feel well. i'm really hoping carnivore can do this for me, since there is nothing else that can reverse my biplolar disorder.

It all depends on the person.

I have been strict carnivore since May of '24 and I have yet to feel the 'clarity' others talk about. Maybe the closest thing for me is that when I wake up in the morning (or even in the middle of the night) I am awake. I am ready to go, no dragging out of bed, sluggish nor slow. Eyes open and feet hit the floor. That is about as close as I have gotten to a mental change.

I am not sure about the keto bliss. I do feel better than I ever did between being off medications for an auto-immune disease, the weight loss and the shift in daily energy. I don't have like crazy made energy from carnivore, but it is more steady and feels readily available throughout the day.

I do longer fasts myself, anywhere between 72 and 96 hours once per month. I did do a 7 day stretch a couple of months ago. I do find a lot more energy while fasting than when eating.

Hope you can find the path that helps and allows you to sustain.

I can't remember a specific turning point, timeline, etc. I started carnivore in May 2023 and by November I had reached my goal weight. Sometime in the middle of that, in late August or early September, I started this forum. I can remember one of my early posts mentioning how my depression, negative thinking, and brain fog seemed to have alleviated to a great degree. So that would fall somewhere in the 5-6 month range at the latest.

I've only ever heard the term "carnivore clarity" (and never heard of "keto bliss") a few times. I never really gave it much thought. I always assumed it referred having a more positive outlook in life.

I’m not sure what you mean by carnivore clarity of bliss.

If by clarity you are referring to brain fog being lifted I suppose it’s different for everyone depending on how bad their brain fog was to begin with. What was causing it. What exactly are you eating. What your age is. All of these things may factor in. I have been a fairly strict carnivore for over 1,000 days and I can’t recall having received any clarity so to speak. I’m old and can be forgetful but I don’t think I ever really had any brain fog to begin with.

“Bliss”? What is bliss but a satisfying feeling that everything is good in your life. I have bliss in knowing that what I am doing is what’s best for me because of the benefits I’ve experienced. I also have a sort of bliss in that I don’t desire anything more than what I eat on a strict carnivore diet. I have no cravings or desires for anything other than meat, salt and water. For me it’s freedom from food and that is blissful.

I to used to drink alcohol, coffee, tea and sodas but as my body healed I found my taste for those things changed. It was as if as my body got cleaner it lost the desire to have unclean things put into it. It wasn’t anything that I did other that just eat clean. My body did the rest.
