I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

Honestly any porcelain coated cast iron is better than anything other than regular ol cast iron.

Enjoy your new toy

Thanks. I've got several cast iron pans and a dutch oven which I enjoy using. I make Neisha Berry's cornless cornbread (fantastic recipe by the way) in my dutch oven. I'm going to take my 12" cast iron fry pan and polish it as smooth as possible and then re-season it. saw a guy do that online and it really improved the pan a lot for him. All the teflon is going in the recycle bin for disposal. Never had much luck with stainless and can't afford a good carbon steel pan.

My din din tonite. I am trying the Pork Barrel BBQ rub (clean as you can get)

Smoked these grass fed ny strips @Bob from Business Costco 7.29/lb when you buy the whole loin.

I'd really like to try my hand at offset smokin some day.... better flavor just more a PITA with heat/wood and weather 🤪

I turn each "smoking day" into an all day event, so some planning is required for sure. Back in the day when we were drinking alcohol we had some doozys for sure. I'd wake up the following morning and wonder where all the meat went and the neighbors would say we ate it all last night at the party 🤣. Those kind of parties would kill me now!

A full brisket and I'm looking at 10-12 hours start to finish, but SO worth it. Pork shoulder takes a little less. Salmon is only 3 or 4 hours. The only chicken I smoke is wings and those go on the Traeger for just a little while. We don't eat much chicken around our house. I'd rather have a bowl of chicken soup 🤣.

Bacon, fried egg whites (gave the yolks to my son- he hates the whites)

1/4 lb ground beef

Another 10oz blade steak

Bacon.

Yerba mate

Black coffee

Black tea

I thought for a moment that it was dairy free, but I think I may have eaten a slice of pepper jack cheese when I was making son's lunch.

It’s an art that takes time to learn but once you master it there is no better way to cook.

Sirloin steaks last night. Less fatty than the NY strips but at least the wife doesn't complain, lol.

I melt down butter and dip the steaks in it as I eat to make up for the lost fat.

Followed up on an idea from geezy.

I put roast on the smoker this morning. When it was within an hour or so from being ready I dropped it in the crock pot for a couple three hours on low.

Turned out really nice.

Scott

I did the same thing last week. Turned out nice. Next time I'm pounding it with much more smoke!
