I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

I bought chuck steak last night because it was cheap. Didn't care for it all too much. A bit tougher and more chewy than I'm used to.

Maybe there's a better way to prepare a chuck steak and I just need to be educated.

I'm in the wrong profession, lol.

I say that exact thing to my wife every time we leave their parking lot. The U.S. is supposedly one of the highest standards of health care in the world? I cannot agree with that statement. Just look around anytime you are out in the public. We are a country of very sick and unhealthy people. Health care is unaffordable to most of the population here.

Any countries main job should be to protect and care for their population. We do NOT do that in the U.S. at all. We do buy lots of military weapons and of course we have to go back to the frick'n Moon and then on to Mars for some idiotic reason instead of spending some of that money to "protect and care for" our population.

I'm glad I'm as old as I am. Less years left to go than what I've already burnt up.

This week is starting off poorly for myself. Hoping some ribeye later on will brighten up my attitude a little.

An Insta-pot can work wonders on a tough cut. 3# @ high pressure for about 90 minutes.

I'll sometimes take a thick chuck roast and cut it in half, then salt the heck out of it for several hours, then smoke for a few hours, then flash grill it. Done this several times with only a few duds. I think its the salt and slow smoking that does the trick. I always look for a nicely marbled piece when buying.

Chuck can make good jerky if nothing else

I got one of them spring loaded pokey things that has 48 teeny blades that poke down through anything ya smack it down on. It's called a tenderizer, not to be confused with the hammer style. I have that too. But I don't always use it on a chuck steak. Only if my gums are tender from eating something tough. 🙄 I don't have any teeth on the top side. But I still gnaw through about anything I want. 😀

FYI: Venting mode ahead. Not in a good mood this morning.

I'm currently in a short fast for a blood draw this afternoon. I've got a yearly health exam today which is a JOKE these days! $500+ for what? A little thumping, a little listening and a few questions from the doc and then you are out the door. What happened in the U.S. to a full physical exam? If these health checks weren't free I wouldn't even waist my time with them.

Where did all the good doctors go?? My neurologist has retired and I'm thinking I may not even search for a new one at this time. My MS is currently pretty stable and advancing very slowly. Her yearly exam charge was over $750 and all she does is have me walk a short distance, touch my finger to my nose and then she pokes me with a sharp stick (which she always calls Mr. Pokey, like I'm a damn 5 year old) to see if I can feel that, BUT she always had some new drug to try if I wanted to, to which I always have said "No Thanks". I don't want cancer (again) or PML.

U.S. health care is a frick'n joke!

After all that BS I'll be having a big ribeye. Beef is your best medicine!

"Eat your meat and live a long life" is what I say

Thanks for listening to an old guy bitch........... I'm out

Nothing wrong with a vent here and there. LOL

I get it. If there is one part of the process that gets me a tad bit irritated is the order in which my appointments/infusions go. I see the Neurologist first thing, walk down the hall for bloodwork and then the 6+ hour infusion. I would rather have the bloodwork first, come back so we have something to talk about and then use the information to make the call on the infusion. Prior to carnivore when I thought the infusions would be life-long, it didn't bother me as much, thinking I would be having the infusions regardless.

Fast forward to 12 months into carnivore and having the infusion before the bloodwork is reviewed feels like taking medicine but not really knowing if I'm sick, just taking the medicine.

The frustrations are real.

U.S. medical "anything" is very poor! I'm glad I don't use it but once a year or so for a free check-up, else I wouldn't go at all. Once again this year all my blood and urine tests came back great. Doctor said "whatever you are doing, keep it up". I just laugh to myself and say "I will". Right after the exam I went to Walmart and bought some ribeyes. It's a shame we can't have something better for our health care in our country. In December I start Medicare, which will cost 4 X what I pay now, and get even less for my money. I'll use that till the money runs out and then use the free clinic in our town.

Double post:

My Neurologist said he wasn't ready to prescribe carnivore to his MS and NMO/SD patients but based on where I was and where I am, he would be happy if his other patients took my approach. I can appreciate the reservations because the world jumped on board to a crappy way of eating via excellent marketing and scare tactics. Look at most everyone around, it worked like a dream.

Back to the topic of the thread:

Nothing. Notta. Zero. Zilch. Pitching a shutout today.

Kicked off my monthly water fast.

My wife and I started Fasting every Wednesday from today on. I'm interested in the results of doing this instead of a multi day fast, less often.

I'm going to use this technique and maybe branch off to a multi day from one of the Wednesdays every so often.

Pretty cool you and your wife can do it together. Almost like 'in-house support'.

I'm a big fan. I have yet to nail down the ending of the fasting, but I guess I will eventually get there.

I'm about 27-28 hours deep. At this point it is sort of like a normal day. I do feel a tad bit hungry, but I think it may be mental. If I did not say I was 'fasting' out loud I would eat about every 24 hours anyway and not be hungry at all. Not sure.

Good luck with the Wednesdays. I'm sure it will be just as effective.

I'm sort of jealous/envious I think. As crazy as that sounds. I can't eat like that anymore. Carnivore has not curbed my appetite but basically destroyed it. But considering the foods I was eating then that can only be a good thing. LOL

I can remember re-reading a post or rewinding one of the Monday evening talks just to see if people actually said what I thought I heard. Eating 2-3lbs of meat at a time is something I could do before, with a baked potato, green beans, several glasses of sweet tea, a dessert and a bedtime snack later that night. Now if I get down a 16oz. ribeye it is 24+ hours before I want to even look at food, much less eat it.

Anytime you guys post eating north of 2 pounds in a meal I just go WOW!.

Scott, I'm the same way now. I'm coming off a 42 hour fast at 1pm with a 1 pound ribeye and that will be about it for the day for myself. I may bake up some of Jenny mitichs pizza roll ups later tonight. I saw her video and want to try them out. I figure that will be around 6pm.
