I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

There are some videos on centered a lady doing meat runs at Sam's and Costco. She pointed out there were some pre-made items in their freezer section that were good choices for those days when there just isn't enough time to get everything done. I looked but all I saw was stuff that was pre-packaged with sauces and such.

Mostly I pre-make what I will eat when working. I went to the gym this morning followed by a 4-mile walk. Standing in the grocery store I remembered I hadn't done anything by being on nightshift. I bought a six pack of the pre-made hardboiled eggs. They hit the spot.

I'm sure there are some pre-made stuff out there, but I pinch pennies by buying as well as cooking in bulk (centered around 12 hour shift work).

Nothing so far.

I'm about 30 hours deep in a 48 hour fast.

So far so good. My past thinking process says I should be starving by now. Amazingly, not even hungry nor any type of cravings.

I'm going to try to make 48, call it as an accomplishment and then maybe stretch it a bit the next time.

This is one of the great benefits of this WOE. Our hunger signals change. We’ve gone from a carb addiction diet that just screams at us “FEED ME, FEED ME NOW!” to a an empty belly feeling that is easy to ignore until you can find the opportunity to eat.
A carb hunger vs. a keto hunger.
I love it.
It’s what allows me to go all day without feeling the need to eat and when I do get to a point that my body says “Hey, we could use some fuel” it’s an action and not a desire.
It’s also what allows me to be able to go out with friends or family and if they choose to eat at a restaurant that has nothing I’m willing to eat I can just drink water and enjoy their company without feeling like I’m being left out or sacrificing anything.

What I need is a list of carnivore approved pre-packaged meals/foods that I can just buy & heat up...cuz nobody in my house is waking up early enough to do that for breakfast.  :lol1:😅  😭

At Sam's Club (and elsewhere) I get hard-boiled eggs and beef sticks, including grass fed beef sticks, that are ready to eat. You can also get Jimmy Dean pre-cooked sausage like I do. You can also get pre-cooked bacon, like I don't, lol, but it is an option.

I also found an all beef burger patty that microwaves in 2 minutes and is actually really good. I'm a little excited for this because I had previously bought a brand that was really really bad, lol.

Burger last night. Everything is on sale this week for the 4th of July (Independence Day in the USA). I got some 80/20 ground beef for $1.99/lb. Ribeyes are down to $9.99/lb. etc.

This morning was my staple, eggs and sausage.

So today might be considered a cheat day. Maybe/Maybe not.

My God-son just turned 16 and since he was a young guy his birthday has been at his favorite Mexican restaurant.

I felt like I asked all the right questions and thought I ordered this meat platter the best way for me. It showed up and it was amazing. It tasted great and as I moved some of it around I thought I tasted onion and then the meat was piled on top of a pile of fried onions. I had started eating, was not going to return it and for sure was not going to waste it.

I think I will tack on a mile tomorrow morning. LOL

Did you eat the onions? If not it wasn’t a cheat meal. In fact it’s more than likely that your meat was cooked with seed oils. The onion will not contaminate your meat and the small amounts of seed oils used for grilling the meat won’t hurt you unless you are extremely sensitive to them.
Now if you gave in to those onions then shame on you for being human. [emoji23]
Seriously, don’t sweat the small stuff.
When we go to a Mexican joint I will generally get the shrimp or fajitas and there is always peppers and onions but it’s pretty simple to just pick out the meat and stay clean.

Nope didn't eat the onions but I am sure it was cooked in one of the cheaper seed/vegetable oils. I'm sure there was some language barrier stuff mixed in as well.

I hadn't had spices (other than salt and pepper) in awhile so I was expecting an explosion soon after. It didn't seem to bother me at all.

I'm rolling with 'no harm/no foul' on this one. However, I did tag on an extra mile this morning as an offering up......

Hope all have a great day and a Super Hoilday weekend.

My family wants Mexican about once a month or so. It's incredibly difficult to stay true to pure carnivore without feeling like I am being ripped off, lol. My local place has a dish that has ribeye, chicken breast, and shrimp served on a sizzling skillet with a side of rice and guacamole salad. I'll pass the rice to one of the kids and eat the rest, basically falling back on keto for that one meal. The spices don't bother me any either.

I also don't fret too much about whether they use seed oils or not. It's not gonna hurt me if I only have it once in a blue moon. A steakhouse on the other hand, I will tell them not to use it, that I am allergic and will drop dead in their dining room if they put it on my steak, lol. I just have that feeling that the Mexican's either wouldn't care or don't have any authentic butter in their kitchen anyway.
