I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

One pound of smoked venison burgers and four eggs.
If you’ve got a smoker I highly recommend smoking your burgers. It adds a whole new flavor dimension and it retains more of its fat. I had these made 70/30 fat ratio.
The venison I hunted. The eggs came from my chickens and the fat they were cooked in was tallow that I made. The only thing I didn’t make was the salt I used. It just don’t get much better than that imo. 😋

I will get the other pictures loaded in the morning. My phone is on charge right now.

We cooked two shoulder, two butts and a couple chickens today.

This is the fire barrel. We burn oak/hickory and then shovel the coals to the pig cooker which is an old oil drum I converted to a grill many years ago. I could not begin to count the number of pigs cooked on this old jalopy.

The only drawback is it is hard to find heavy gaged steel barrels. A long time ago I could get years out of a burn barrel like this and no I'm lucky to get 6-7 pigs before it caves is or the bottom seam comes apart.

I remember truly not understanding way back when my Pops would say, "they don't make things like they used to". It took a long time to understand.

It can be difficult to find good bratwurst where I live. I do miss the sausage and other foods I ate when I lived in Germany.

Where were you?

I have been to Munchen and Berlin.

We have this german "Lidl" -market chain here. They stock good european sausages and cheese.

Last night we were invited over to my son's girlfriends house by her father to watch the Superbowl. The dad had made italian sausages in the crockpot, simmered in a tomato based sauce, which I enjoyed with a fork since I won't touch the hoagie buns. The girl made a buffalo chicken dip, which I had with pork rinds since I don't do potato chips or corn chips. My wife brought a fruit tray with strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon, with which I did enjoy some berries. Cantaloupe and honeydew melon are nasty though, lol.

I’m in North Texas.  I have to mail order my sausages from a place up north that makes some good bratwurst and knockwurst as well as other sausages but it gets pricy.
I’ve lived in Darmstadt, Sembach, Wildflecken and Garlstadt near Bremerhaven. It would be nice to go back and visit the land of my ancestors again.
I still have my bier stein from the Hofbrauhaus in Munich.

So last night the wife and I went out for date night, dinner and karaoke. So we had Applebee's and I got the Quesadilla Burger with NO tortilla, an extra burger patty, and broccoli instead of fries. Then at karaoke I did have a rum & diet coke for the liquid courage to get up and sing, lol.
