I met a vegan on Monday at my son's music class. I don't know her name or any other info about her, but her veganism was the topic of her rant.

It's why I always hope carnivores don't turn into the same type of zealots. Ya know? Like cross-fitters. Some people become what they're in to. It becomes an identity and I think at that point we lose the plot. It closes others from adapting our health choices that we think are best. I make efforts on not telling people what to eat because it reminds me of vegans, which is close to a cult, in my humble opinion. Especially because they think they have the moral high ground.

I will never appreciate this coming from carnivores, as we very well know that it only sets people against them. We'll become a meme, a joke, or even, a cult.

My wife is not carnivore, she is very health minded, I never try to convince her. She is just seeing I am doing so much better and starts asking questions.

Devils advocate here....

Same thing can be said about Christianity, religion etc.

I for one profess I am carnivore, don't give 2 shits how people view me for that.

Passing judgment on anyone is not part of my nature which is why it doesn't bother me. We're all human TRYING to be healthier doesn't honestly mean we should condemn others because they feel their WOE is better.  We're not them, they're not us but if they choose to judge us for what we eat that's THEIR problem not ours.

My wife's taking the f'n Ozempic still dealing with inflammation, and other health issues while she sees she's getting healthier hubby back.

Yes, same thing can be said about religion, that is why we should not conflate the two. Eating is by definition NOT a religion. That would be my counter argument, and solely my view, nothing more, nothing less.

The part about taking ozempic, but still suffering inflammation just makes me sad. I see this with co-workers who are on the weight loss meds or have had weight loss surgery, they are not educating themselves about what to fuel themselves with or perhaps they are buying into the plant based nonsense. Sorry for rambling and not making sense, but I just get frustrated when I see people are loosing weight but they are still struggling because they are not healthy. Skinny=|=healthy.

I am a carnivore and I don’t care how other people eat and will never tell them that they have to eat like I do unlike the vegans who demand we all conform to their religious way and it is a religion to them.
I have met many carnivores that do believe that everyone should eat some kind of ketogenic diet with carnivore being the best but none of them ever try to tell anyone else how to live.
We all lead by example. My wife is meat centric but she’s not carnivore but she does believe it’s a proper way to eat and my children are now eating carnivore because they saw the changes in me. I never told them to do it.
It is important though that we always have an answer to any question asked and be willing to help anyone who asks.

Couldn't be lol. I do apologize. After 23 years of speaking English as a second language, I do still make these silly mistakes, I hope you'd caught on to that. Again, apologies.

Yeah I figured as much. Spell check usually gets me.
And of course I wasn’t offended. If I had been I would just suspend your account. 😝

Good to know we're in good hands. Also good to know you have taken no offense, I'd be bummed.

There's been times when things got lost in translation living abroad, even though I think I have gotten quite proficient in the English language by now. The brain still thinks Dutch sometimes. I always tell people, if I truly wished to offend you, you'd know without a doubt, so when in doubt, just ask.
