Hi,

I'm new to this lifestyle due to health issues and choosing not to get on ozempic for obvious reasons.

So far my journey has been a smooth transition from processed foods to meat and dairy to just meat, coffee with butter.

He thinks I should eat a higher fat content when the weight is gone or I have gotten down to a lower body fat percentage. I can see that as a point,

On the surface that might make some sense but in reality, from my experience, it doesn’t really do anything. Regardless of whether you are burning fat from your diet or your fat stores you are still going to burn fat and it will come off as it needs to.
Eating leaner meats could increase your appetite since you’re not getting your appetite suppressed by dietary fats and you may end up eating too much protein.
The reason your cholesterol has gone up is because without glycogen to burn for fuel your liver must release more fat into the blood stream to fuel the body. So it’s only natural that there be higher amounts of fat in our blood.
You can try to eat leaner but I don’t believe it will do any good.

I'm still high protein/high fat. I can see his point in theory, and I doubt I have the experience nor education to argue the point.

What I am rolling with is what I have done thus far and how I feel, especially how I feel. I'm not sure there are words for 'pain free' after being in pain off and on for several years (2018).

I'm all for trying something new and listening to others, but gambling with pain is a bit different.

The high protein/high fat approach has dropped 78lbs to boot.

I can see some logic in his point, but I think/feel I am on a pretty good plan.

I think you are too.
To often doctors and we as well try to put everyone in a one size fits all box. We are all different and have to find what works best for ourselves.
