Welcome to Carnivore Talk! An online community of people who have discovered the benefits of an carnviore-centric ketogenic diet with the goal of losing weight, optimizing their health, and supporting and encouraging one another. We warmly welcome you! [Read More]

I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

I ate some Aldi clotted cream:

It was absolutely delicious.

Looks like ice cream.

Funny that the label says "suitable for vegetarians" on it, lol

Last night was carnivore taco night. Breakfast was an omelette with sausage and pepper jack cheese, which I think I am about to make again right now.

Hi, I was wondering if someone could answer my question. Currently I am eating eggs but they aren’t pasturized nor soy-free, will it affect me. Its really hard to find them and I don't have any connection eith a farm.

Welcome aboard @Nichole - you will likely be fine. Most people can eat all sorts of eggs, from store-branded white eggs to pasture-raised brown eggs.

A factory farm egg from chickens that were fed soy will contain a higher amount of omega-6 fatty acid. The Omega-3 and nutritional profile of a pasture-raised egg is better, but that doesn't make the common egg "bad", per se.

If you're doing a carnivore-centric diet to lose weight and you don't think you have food sensitivities, go ahead and keep eating them.

If you are doing it to try and reverse it appreciate chronic conditions, then at some point in the future you may want to try switching to pasture-raised eggs, eliminating the egg whites, OR eliminating the eggs altogether.

I hope that made sense

Bob, I wasn't feeling so good today, I made some chicken soup, how about yourself, what did you enjoy?

Question, food and I aren't getting along at present, nothing tastes right, any suggestions, broth has become my friend, I can tolerate that.

Do you have or recently had a cold or other illness?

Have you been eating the same ole same ole thing day after day? If so, maybe switch things up. You might have flavor fatigue.

Bob, I did for almost a year, because I just couldn't figure out what to make nor how to make it and no, I haven't been ill. My labs are good, my iron was 500, so my doctor told me to lay off the red meats for a minute and I did, it could be my meds. I am not that one that can just create something delicious, I have been searching for recipes, and the ones that I made so far was tolerable but not that great. I am getting back on track, and I need some help on recipes that are tolerable.

Thanks for looking out for me my brother.

We have recipe forum here. Then there are pages like this...

I would also recommend the carnivore cookbooks by Courney Luna and/or Paul Saladino.

I'm an advocate for eating a variety of meats. I have a few ways to cook burger. I still eat lamb, chicken, and seafood as well. I mix it up at dinner to keep it interesting.

Breakfast is pretty routine though, typically being sausage and eggs.
