I’ve noticed several newcomers to this lifestyle tend to get confused about what they can eat or get bored with just eating the same old thing over and over and then there’s some that just don’t have much imagination around food and in the kitchen.

Well this is a thread for everyone to post what they eat each day.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something you eat day in and day out or if it’s something that’s unique but still in the spectrum of carnivore, post it up. It may help inspire someone to stick with their diet plan and reach their goals by introducing something new to their diet.

So, What did you eat today?

Italian zero-carb, high fat spicy "Toscana" sausages. I guess I'm more "dirty keto" because of all the sausages I eat.

But I could not keep my fat intake high enough by eating our very lean finnish meats. It leads to protein overdose and low fat. Or ground beef and bacon only.

My breakfast is bacon and eggs, almost every day. Still tastes delicious.

Salsicha pepperoncini, sauerkraut:

Been away. Anniversary and wedding so yeah I ate some $#!+.

At someone's wedding reception I might have some fruit but still won't violate my vows to never eat grains or refined sugar (which translates into nothing from the sweets table).

The one exception is my anniversary. We usually splurge at an expensive restaurant, and at those prices you better believe I am eating the whole meal, lol.

Yesterday was two thin-cut T-Bones with left over pork ribs from the night before. Tonight, will be two more of the thin-cut T-Bones with 4-5 fried eggs.

My schedule got thrown off earlier in the month so I am thinking I will start my fast on Friday night thru the weekend.

Trying to get back on track.

My wife and I celebrated our 43rd Wedding Anniversary today And we each had one of these. OMAD style for sure

Monster T-bones from Wally World (Clearance area as always, even for an anniversary 🤣)

QQQ - I'm right around 1400 days eating carnivore and I was wondering when this "boredom with Eating meat" thing happens 🤣. I want to be prepared.

I hear you on the fasting thing. I haven't done a fast in so long I forgot how good they feel. You're motivating me. Thanks Scott

Going to eat tonight and then fast thru the weekend. I'm on night shift so most of the night I will be working and then most of the day I will be sleeping.

So far this week it is too hot to eat anyway.

I'm going to take advantage of this weekend (especially since I missed my fast earlier this month)

When your fridge/freezer is bare and you have no petrol for your car to get to the store🤣

We've started roasting a couple of different meats at one time. For example I'll roast pork and chicken at the same time and eat over a couple of days. I cook in iron frying pans and add water to the pan to create a gravy we can use. I made broth with bones until I had a jelly so we will eat that today. Tonight we are having burgers which I cook the same way.

I started mine Thursday night around 8PM.

This one will be a water fast. I am reading as much as I can about dry fasting.

I'm thinking about giving one a try before the end of July.

Scott

I have not researched dry fasting at all, I would say just due to lack of interest. Let us know what you find or discover if you try one. You would be a great test case to see any differences between the two due to your experiences with regular multi-day fasting.

This fast for myself will include black coffee and tea along with water of course. Not sure on length yet. There's enough prepped food in the fridge for my wife, so she's good to go for several days. We're going out on the bikes this morning for an extended ride.

I'm Currently at 17 hours and had a slight hunger feeling a few hours ago but that has already passed and now it's on to nirvana time and the joys and energy of fasting.

I'm leaning toward trying the dry fast early to mid-July. Time will tell.

This fast I'm going at it a tad bit different. I watched a video with Dr. Attia and he incorporates his fasting and working out. I think I missed the window for the total effect but maybe next time.

The idea is to start your fast and some ~12 hours later do a somewhat intense cardio/semi-anaerobic workout to speed up the dumping of glycogen from the liver and the muscles. He does a simple drawing on a white board showing the glycogen dumping, followed by the body switching from glucose to fats and the fat conversion to ketones. The fat that moves into the blood is in the form a triglycerides and when the three 'arms' of the 'tri-glyceride' break off into the blood they become ketones and the brain starts to thrive. He does not mention it in this video but this is where the cholesterol numbers can creep up when becoming fat adapted (carnivore-ish).

If a person is carnivore and already fat adapted compared to a person who has a moderate to high intake of carbs/sugars it stands to reason the glycogen levels/blood sugar levels being lower the switch to ketones would be a faster process. I have not read where this is actually what happens, but it sort of seems to make sense.

I read this after I was about 24 hours deep and had a pretty good workout this morning which was about 36 hours into the fast. Plenty of energy and wish I had the time to extend the workout longer. Coming off night shift and needing to check on my mom sort of ate up my morning.

If there is a drawback to carnivore it is that when I wake up, I am up. After a 12 hour shift I slept from 10AM to 1PM and now I am up to the next shift starts at 7PM. Feel good, feel rested but being up the rest of the day and the rest of the night looms. LOL

And to get back on target of the actual post...................water again today.

It feels like we are closer to 175F than 75. Heat index in the 110's all week. The humidity that punches you in the stomach when you open the front door.

I will 'hunt and kill' on Monday night I guess. LOL

About to test my will power. Stopping by my god-son's house to wish him a Happy Birthday. The pig has been on the grill since early this morning. Gut meat and the tongue will be calling my name but I'm planning to pass.

Hoping I settle out for a to-go plate.
