  1. 1. Which degree of doneness makes for the perfect steak, in your opinion?

So if you are on true keto, Ketovore, or Carnivore diet, beef is probably your staple food, and steak is probably your preference. There are various degrees of steak doneness. Which one of these is the perfect steak for you?

I prefer my steak "medium" - a little pink in the middle.

I used to eat mine well done when I was younger but found the meat has more flavor slightly less done. I can tolerate medium leaning towards medium rare but not a truly medium rare.

My FIL will not eat meat that is not well, well, well done. He wants his steak dark brown all the way through, or he says it is raw and refuses to eat it.

Same here. I've eaten medium rare but I feel funny about it. Maybe it's a mental thing, but I prefer medium for sure. Medium well will start to disappoint.

Ugh! I can still eat a well done steak, but I won't be enjoying. I will be eating it because I paid for it and don't want it going to waste, lol.

This is also the one situation where I might actually have to call on the power of steak sauce to mask the fact that it was overcooked 😄

Most of the time, I hardly eat steak but whenever I do, it's definitely going to be well done. If it's not well done, it normally feels like I'm eating raw meat. I don't know why it makes me feel that way but that's why I only eat it well done.

I was little disappointed that the poll didnt have a selection for "uncooked"

I settle for "blue" when Im out somewhere, and it IS tasty that way.  I can seriously eat it raw though.  At home I prefer just warm (which is hard to do without cooking too much)

My wife says I do em so "a good vet could bring it back"

Many years ago while still at school I had a weekend job in a restaurant .... I remember a customer, when asked how he'd like his steak cooked replied, 'just tear off the horns and wipe it's ass' 😆

Growing up on a ranch, I ate a lot of Beef and a lot of steaks.  I hated the idea of a bloody steak, so Medium Well was the way I wanted them cooked from a child to my late 20's.  Starting in my late 20's I began to realize that steak cuts like Top Sirloin was WAY Better when it was a hot pink center.

Medium (Hot Pink, slightly bloody center) is my favorite these days.
