I started carnivore as a reset for my body so far so good with stopping everything like sugar and carbs and all that .

my issue is how do I really know if I eat enough since I rarely ever get hungry have been like that since child hood just one of them that can skip food and snacks for days and not be hungry. I eat what feels like a lot of meet and added fat and my body is quick to say that I’m full but here is my issue could that be because I dislike meat and greasy/fat food…
I might sound confusing and all even my spouse wrinkled his forehead when I said what I was trying  his words was “wow you don’t even like meat” hoping to get any ideas is welcomed

As for what I have had so far chicken bison steak, ground beef, chuck steak  ground bison I cook it in bacon grease

I grew up with  90% of my daily food was meat and fish family hunted that’s how we got or food. The older I get the more I disliked the taste of meat and fat like butter and fat from the animals bough makes me kind of nauseous. So trying carnivore is a thing but I’m doing it for my well being

Going to be tough with the dislike for meat to be a on a meat based diet. I would say you are going to have to be creative.

This week I am planning to make a carnivore pizza with minced chicken as the crust. Sounds interesting and will be a little different.

Once I work my way thru what is in the freezer Im going red meat, water and salt for a stretch to see how that works/feels.

Welcome to the board. Best of luck.

Have you tried eating the fat cold. I personally have a hard time digesting slow cooked fatty meat. Recently I have been cooking chuck roast in souvide. Makes the meat tender without boiling it.  Perhaps try cooking the beef to a different doneness.bi find if the meat isn't too tough I'd almost prefer it raw, and solidified cold fat seems to be easier for me to eat. It may sound weird, but I have always like cold leftover meat.

Chicken as pizza crust wow hopefully that turns out amazing  please let me  how that works 😀

yea it’s an interesting thing to eat meat when you don’t like it BUT I’m doing it for my own health

Miranda never heard the word survived have to look that one up 😄

cold fat is worse. I figured out if I “hide” more fat in my homemade bone broth and that makes it more tolerable

You definitely have a predicament. I’ve come across other people though that have the same issue when getting started. How do you do with eggs? Eggs are very nutritious and fatty.
The people I know that don’t enjoy meat will generally eat it in smaller quantities throughout the day and in time as they become adapted they find themselves wanting more of it. Some just give up. I say keep trying and do it for at least 90 days as best you can and if need be maybe do keto at less than 20 grams of carbs per day and then slowly transition over to carni.
Have you tried all different meats and fats? Even though they are definitely not preferable on carnivore but maybe you could try incorporating some fruit oils in to help get enough fat. Fruit oils being coconut oil, avocado oil or extra virgin olive oil but be careful with the EVO because it’s hard to fine pure EVO in America. It’s usually cut with canola oil.
To know if your getting enough to eat you can of course just listen to your body but the easiest is to download the Carb Manager app. It will help you keep track of all of your macros.
Good luck and I hope you find a solution.

Hey Gezzy

in my life I don’t think I ever really tasted a meat that I like except one from my home county that I can’t get in the US but that alright

is it a predicament yes but from my point of view, I have to do this to reset my body to get healthier I’m not doing it to lose weight if I do okay if I don’t that’s okay . I do eat eggs and fish bacon even before I decided to try carnivore diet and I make small goals to make it easier my first goal is two weeks at the time my engoal is atleast 90 days.
have an fantastic day

Lamb pieces on the bone, soak in milk for 24 hrs to get the gamey taste out. Rinse thoroughly then put in a slow cooker.

Makes a filling meal and you drink broth after.

Maybe try bone marrow if you can. It's super delicious over meat or suckin from the bone.

Exactly. What I do sometimes when I eat lean meat, like pork, I add butter on the plate, add a bit with each bite and it slightly melts, delicious.
